What’s a bad gay stereotype is thinking just because Percy is older he’s taking advantage of Nico. And to be honest, I don’t think Percy would even consider going out with Nico until he’s older. What Percy Jackson do you know??

I ship Percico in a healthy way. Nobody ships them just to be a pedophile or to support pedophilia. You people just want to think that so you have something to rant about. I ship them because I truly think they would make a great couple and their past together is interesting. In no way does that have to do with age, or someone being abused.

Percy had to grow up with a person like Gabe. Percy had to spend his most crucial years fighting for his life and facing terrible things from his worse nightmares, waking up every day thinking it would be his last. Percy had seen devastation and had made it clear he doesn’t support abuse or controlling relationships. Why the fuck do you think he would take advantage of Nico???  And if he would, do you think I would ship it?? 

You literally made that issue up. So if you can think that about Percy, can I think maybe Will was controlling Nico? By saying his feelings of isolation are nothing and he should get over it, isn’t that harmful in a way? (Not to hate on Solangelo, just showing how ridiculous this argument is.)

also someone taking advantage of someone else’s unhealthy crush doesnt change the fact that it is Bad and you changing around variables doesnt change the fact that you still ship these two characters who in canon are inherently abusive and pedophilic when placed into a romantic relationship.

leaving behind the fact that you are sexualizing a child if you take any part in reading or writing smut for this ship (whether or not they are aged up it literally doesn’t change anything. you looked at a child and figured ‘hey i want to read about his sex life so ill just pretend hes older’) the other variables make it a massive problem.

Also, the way it was written in the books just doesn’t sound right.  I love Solangelo but wow, that seemed to be written as a scapegoat. 

Reading smut about characters is what alot of people do. You can have your opinions on that but don’t blame that on one ship. 

an au doesn’t change literally anything? nico is still four years younger than percy???? have you ever even read pjo there’s literally discussion on how percy could never be good for nico. that’s how they stay such good friends; they address the issue.

You have a certain argument I just can’t understand: even if they are older, it’s still wrong. So Nico can be a 30-year-old man and if he ever gets with 34 year old Percy, it’s pedophilia. That right there tells me all I need to know. You are just hating on a ship because you don’t like it. Not because you think it’s dangerous. 

Where do you get the right to tell me I don’t care about victims?? We are talking about fiction and the right to ship a ship. Not real life people. 

I’m not excusing ANY type of abuse. I’m saying I ship Percico in a certain way. A way where Nico is older and has a healthy crush. One where Percy and Annabeth just go their separate ways peacefully and Percy and Nico become great friends and soon fall back for each other. (As in, Nico gets over it, grows up, then falls back)
