I see you may be like me and think Misha Collins is probably bisexual, but he felt like he couldn’t be out and proud from outside forces. I’m just guessing based off of your tag in the Boston Pride reblog post. To be fair, I know there have been actors whose agents have frowned upon them coming out because it can restrict hiring for acting roles due to homophobia. So I’ve always wondered if that kind of thing played a part in that incident with Misha.

Ah, I might disappoint you here, I was actually just referring to the fact that, if asked, I think Misha wouldn’t mind wearing that flag contraption.

I generally don’t like speculating on real people’s sexualities, but Misha’s openness and comfortability with his own sexuality makes me think he’s not lying about being straight. That being said, we will never truly know. He’s a very open ally and activist. He’s never been opposed to learning about himself, exploring things, from what I’ve read about his life. So if he is bi, I think he knows that by now. And if he’s straight, he knows that too. He doesn’t strike me as someone who’d go out of his way to clarify he’s straight if he’s actually bi.

Regarding agents, Misha has always been an activist first than an actor from what I’ve seen. That’s something that differentiates him from the actors you usually see. So if it came to coming out and supporting the cause he believes in versus staying silent for the sake of his career, I think he’d choose the truth. So that’s another reason I don’t think he was lying about being straight.

But hey, you never truly know famous people unless you’re their actual friend. Sorry for going on a conspiracy tangent, just sharing my thoughts. In any case, I’m grateful to have a person so open about supporting our community on our side, regardless of his own sexuality :]

If you’re someone wondering why Misha posted and had a (one of many thru the years) conversation about trans rights, it’s something he’s long advocated for. It’s not something he’s doing out of vanity either. His godson who he helped raise with Darius is trans(rip sweet baby boy). A good friend of his didn’t follow gender norms. And GK’s inclusion of authentic trans characters before it was prematurely taken due to Warner Brothers greedy decisions.

But I’ve a feeling even without the trans people in his life, he’d still be doing what he’s doing.
