"The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin, and if the sin is removed, then the punishment and consequences are also removed."

Everything that preoccupies you away from Allaah, be it (your) family, wealth and children, then indeed it is misfortune.

Do not let your love be obsessive and do not let your hatred be destructive. When you love, do not go to a level of obsession as a child does with the things he loves, and when you hate, do not hate in such way that you want your opponent to be destroyed and doomed.

There is no goodness in people who don’t give advice, and there is no goodness in people who don’t like to be advised.

The jihaad with decisive proofs [from the Book and the Sunnah] and the tongue takes precedence over the jihaad with the sword and the spear.

I have not seen someone like Ahmad ibn Hanbal; we accompanied him for fifty years and he never boasted to us about anything of good he was upon.

Bid'ah is associated with splitting, just as Sunnah is associated with the Jamaa'ah. So it is said: Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah, just as it is said: Ahlul-Bid'ah wal-Furqah (the People of innovation and division).
