I figured I might as well do this pinned post thing, but, honestly, there's little interesting stuff to know about me.

I'm Saya (she/her), adult. I mostly consider myself a (re)writer, but I'm trying to draw, too.

This blog is mostly about my stuff, though I'll still occasionally reblog something, (usually a text post, and most of the time one I'd comment on). Most generic reblogs go There.

Currently working on: SIYH (Inazuma Eleven GO: Chrono Stone AU with fix-it&rewrite elements).

On Hiatus: HOTLA (Magi AU, fix-it/rewrite of mostly the Final Arc), PFH (Homestuck AU, fix-it with rewrite elements) & a few Pokemon AUs, which also... have some fix-it and... rewrite elements... Mostly, not all of them!

I was actually a bit drastic, yeah, there is some character development in CS, but in many cases, it's not really noticeable in terms of interactions/relationships, too bad. Also, it seems to me that they "neglected" many characters (yes, I'm still mad about the absence of Kariya and Hikaru from the ultimate 11. Those two had the potential to be among the 11... not... what is the dinosaur guy called in Japanese?) and rushed a bit on the ending (that drastic change of antagonist threw me off the first time). But I understand that with the limited number of episodes, you can't do everything 100%. Luckily, there are fics that allow us to resolve/deepen what we feel is necessary! (Like how in CS Fei/Tenma "ignore" that they basically killed a version of Yuichi. I love that you gave weight to the events with Hakuryuu. I can't wait to see him again and see how Fei and Kyousuke react).

Are you interested, really? 🥺 In truth, that WIP is nothing special. A simple CodeLyoko!Au (IE and Code Lyoko were my childhood) post Galaxy with Fei randomly returning to the past.

In the first version, Fei's past was much less considered. Yes, I did reference it every now and then, but only with the second version, after growing up and reading SIYH, I began to consider it something "worth" exploring in terms of its psychological impact (he returned to the past because of an argument with Saryuu, he struggled to adapt to his new daily life and his past in Feida and his actions were something that weighed him down more than in the first version).

Furthermore, your fic, and other time travel fics, had inspired me to fantasize (while I was bored at work without clients) about a story in which Fei, as a child, had ended up in the past and grown up at Ohisama En with the others, but then joined Raimon during the events of IE2 (a very short and simple version). I don't know how I came up with this idea from SIYH, but I know that in terms of attention to psychological characterization, I owe a lot to your story.

Never been a Hikaru fan myself (kinda neutral), but I get what you mean. He's a character with a lot going for himself, but the story doesn't really make use of it. It is a shame. As for Kariya, I believe my feelings on this are rather known.

Yeah, the antagonist switch. I rant about this particular topic a lot, and ya bet I will again. Like now. The idea isn't bad, the execution is poor. We have little reason to give a darn about El Dorado after all they've done, and given the ratings it's kinda impossible to show Feida as the threat they absolutely are outside of some implications. And that one time SARU tried to get Fei to kill Tenma. Which is a thing that happened. Really, though, it's just not enough this late in the season to take that antagonist role from El Dorado - at best they're both bad.

Yeaaa... In big part what got them is the fact that they did not expect it at all - they got comfortable with Hakuryuu there. It's especially bad for Fei, who I constantly depict as struggling to really... get close to others in fear of them leaving. Which is exactly what happened with Hakuryuu. I don't think he would have been as distant with others (Tsurugi excluded obviously) if not for that. Tsurugi meanwhile watched his friend just fucking die in front of him. Like, I think in both cases it would have messed them up at least a bit (Tsurugi significantly more), but neither really had the opportunity to detach themselves for protection.

Oh, I can't wait for Hakuryuu, either. Love the guy in general. And alt!Hakuryuu's extremely important, still, regarding Fei and Kyousuke's relationship. Genuinely can't wait for this part especially. <3

Oh, yeah, love them struggling with this kind of stuff. Also I get that, we do sometimes need to grow up a bit to handle the kind of story we want to tell. It's the same for me with SIYH or that Magi stuff which is not relevant to the discussion but usually my best example, bc I outlined a lot in '21 but didn't write till '23 and needless to say, the outline is super outdated & I love the current version way more. Anyway.

Lmao, SIYH came to be bc I saw some fanarts of Tsurugi/Fei, and in the second part (the Galaxy one), one of the major plotlines was inspired by a calendar pic with winter Ozrock and Tsurugi near each other and a fanart of it. The plotline has nothing to do with this pic, besides Tsurugi&Ozrock interacting (a lot). And now I have so much Ixal and Ozrock lore I just can't wait to share. Inspiration can come so randomly, haha.

I'm still amazed that I managed to inspire you in that way <3 It does mean quite a lot to me, really. Definitely makes the years I spent writing and planning it out worth it.

Also huge mood. Just rambling about stuff here makes me wanna go back to writing. Ghhhh, Chapter 30 is actually just missing the last part... </3

Honestly, it's wonderful to see how you develop the characters in SIYH; you do them justice, considering that in CS, there was practically no character development. CS's Raimon has deeply traumatized players facing traumatic situations, and it's really refreshing to see that you recognize the psychological impact of the events/their personal backgrounds. It's truly inspiring! Thanks!

Obligatory asdfghjkl, I'm really happy to hear that, I'm not even sure what to say. I love my Fei so much, he differs quite a bit from his canon characterization, so I'm always just really touched to see that people like him a lot, too. He's definitely the most notable in this department, haha. I'm curious about your WIP, now! Do tell me more!

Mhmm, yeah. I mean, there is some development, but it's hard to really notice outside of the arcs where a specific character is relevant, because the cast is big and the number of episodes is finite, so they can't really focus too much on the characters interacting with each other or showcasing that growth. And often while a change has supposedly occurred, the behavior pre- and post-development doesn't seem to differ too much. Like Kirino, the example that always comes first to my mind, whose arc had a lot to do with Shindou and their relationship, but rather than leading to a clearly needed change between them, post-France they're acting pretty much the same. Like, sure, Kirino seems to have grown more confident (at least compared to the beginning of his arc), which is good, but that arc depicted an actual conflict between him and Shindou that doesn't really lead to anything. I suppose you could say the characters develop, but the relationships/interactions don't really change that much between them, so it feels like nothing happened, actually. Ironically in the season about the bonds between people.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble! ;w; Once again, I'm really happy to hear all of this and really, do share the AU! Also, that psychological aspect is one of my fav parts, so I'm also super happy to hear you like the way I go about it! <3
