Haunting adeline is a book, it is a dark romance, it has like two pages of trigger warnings, they are now adapting this book into a movie. The problem with that is, I dont think the mainstream audience can decipher between the fact this book is fantasy, and not a reality. It goes along the theme of cnc, and stalkers, however the first C, being consent, is not given in the book. (I think us dark romance readers just take this as a given). The mainstream audience is mad this book is glorifying these triggers.

(Alot of trauma survivors are big fans of these dark books as an outlet, but it is not for everyone; hence the trigger warnings) so even im unsure it should be released to a wider audience. I would love to watch the adaptation, but the storm its going to conjur is not a good idea. I think it genuinely would have been a safer option for this to be released as an adult spicy film by content creators. (I do not even know how they plan to release some of the scenes because they are GRAPHIC. - gunplay, knifeplay, etc)

Its already recieving backlash and petitions, and just, if its not for you, please dont fucking watch it.

However Taint brothers is a fucking accurate term, and I may adopt that 😂
