So here I bring you another challenge made into infographics!! I present to you the Space Legacy Challenge by fantastic @simsandstrawberries!!! Her original challenge is color coded and I tried to reflect it in the colors BUT! The Star Sapphire

A number of women have operated under the name of The Star Sapphire.  The first was a villainous queen from the planet Zamaron who came to conquer the earth.  She battled the Flash (Jay Garrick) and fled in defeat. Years later, the cosmic gem that empowered the Star Sapphire returned to earth and possessed the body of Carol Ferris.

Having become the new Star Sapphire, Ferris had numerous confrontations with the Green Lantern Hal Jordan.  Ferris and Jordan were romantically involved and Jordan struggled to free his love from the gem’s influence; a task he accomplished although Ferris would be again bewitched by the gem time and again.  

Ferris assumed the role once more so to rescue Hal Jordan from the clutches of Dela Pharon from the planet Xanador.  Pharon had used a different Star Sapphire gem to trick Jordan into believing she was Ferris.  She had bewitched him and was set to marry him before the intervention of the real Ferris who used her own gem to battle and ultimately defeat Pharon.  

During a period in which Ferris was free of the gem's influence the gem chose a new host in the form of Remoni-Notra of the planet Pandina.  Despite heralding from an alien world, Remoni-Notra looked human and (similar to Pharon) bore a striking resemblance to Carol Ferris.  Although unlike Ferris, Remoni-Notra relished her role as the Star Sapphire and willing used the powers to achieve her own goals.  She acted as a member of the Secret Society of Super Villains and was later killed in battle against The Specter.

Other Star Sapphires include Jillian Pearlman of Earth, Nol-Anj of Prixia and Fatality of Xanshi.  Although it has remained Ferris whom the gem has been most consistently drawn to.  It was ultimately revealed that the Star Sapphire gem is a cosmic power of the emotional color spectrum, similar to the Green Lantern Battery.  While the Green Lantern is powered by the emotions of bravery and will, the Star Sapphire is fueled by the emotions of love and desire. Ferris returned to the role during the Blackest Night event, becoming the leader of the Star Sapphire Corps.
