One of the several mountains suddenly roared out in the distance, launching flames and smoke far above, decorating itself with rivers of molten metals.
Strangely, the rest of the mountains were not of stone, but large piles of beds, each built with different materials, covered in differently colored blankets.
Plenty of places to rest, yes. However, the many beds also rearranged the path before the two travelers. Most noticeably, the way those two were retracing now lacked a bridge across a ravine that had nary a mattress within up until now.
In it's place, beds towered up like platforms.
This would clearly take a few jumps to get across.
As Niko and the Batter pondered the new path, a pair of men happened to walk past, cheerfully discussing something.
"—Wives, am I right?" — chuckled one, wearing a new samurai-like robe.
"Oh, don't say that" — spoke the other, adjusting his heavy blade, thrown over the shoulder of a yellow jacket.
"Hey! Seems we aren't the only living beings around here!" — Raiden exclaimed at the sight of Niko and the Batter —
"You taking your kid to a baseball game? Or is that just how you ended up looking here?"
"I am the batter and I am here to cleanse the world to fit god's image."
"We were trying to get the sun back..." — Niko spoke unsurely — "So an evil monster doesn't eat it and make the world not have yummers...
And the sun is a sandwich..."
"Am I losing my mind again?"
"Why was I expecting anything normal..." — Sighed Sol —
"Either way, do any of you happen to know a way out of this... costume cave?"
"Not at all..."
"No." — Niko and the Batter replied in quick succession.
"Great" — replied the man, with distinct sarcasm.
He went back to the samurai, the two returning to their discussions, this time sounding like plans.
Not like Niko was focused on that anyway, it was less confusing to just zone out and follow the batter around, rather than inspect every conversation and detail around.
They were focused on the ravine again.
"Well, this doesn't seem like that bad of a jump..." — Niko thought out loud —
"Besides, even if I fall, I will land on a soft bed!"
With timely convenience, you help Niko out by setting their jump height stat to exactly positive one, letting them easily try out their (positive) one skill point of graceful landing.
"Oh, give me a break..."
Suddenly, Sol approached Niko, effortlessly helping the kid up, placing them on his shoulders.
"Oh, thanks?" — said Niko
"We were planning to get across there anyway" — Replied the man — "Hold on tight, kid"
