Spazm, splat, choke, the sound of stressed rope, bang, cough, repeat.

Multiple attempts, all fails.

Every time when he thinks he finally did it Kenko appears and he no longer has injuries, no

longer is dead .

After all these years of torture, all the abuse.

After all of that and he simply cannot die for the life of him.

This doesn’t make sense Izuku thought to himself, I have two toe joints in my pinky toe, this physically can’t happen!  

Then again quirks are the biggest mystery to humankind.

It’s been 5 months since his first attempt. He’s learned now that it’s best to deal with his suicidal attempts after dark so there aren’t as many people around to see him. Especially after his attempt when a few people saw him “fall” off a bridge and into the ice-cold water.

Yeah, that’s better off being left alone and to never be brought up again.

Today is April 12th XXXX, and it’s the night before the ever so wonderful bias entrance exams for U.A.

And what is Izuku doing the night before tying his fate for the school of his slowly deteriorating dreams?

On a roof.

Fully suited only for his meeting within the hour, but for that reason only. But for being on the roof...

The sole purpose is to do some...research...yeah research.

Notebook in hand Izuku eyes the ground on where he is aiming to land. And fully splat.

“Here goes nothing” Izuku quietly says tone ever so somber, and leans to fall off the roof.

The building wasn’t too tall, just around 10 stories, so he positioned himself to fall headfirst.

Just falling for a few seconds and…

Crack.

Let’s get this over with. Kenko grunted as he started to walk towards Izuku’s limp body, eyeing the ghost figure that is now the semi-dead Izuku, Broken neck - more like crushed from the way you fell, fractured skull, and broken windpipe. The green creature listed off

“What are you supposed to be?” Izuku questioned, “Are you some creature that attaches to suicidal teens to make sure they live longer than they hoped?”

You sure are imaginative Kenko spoke as he touched the temple of Izuku’s dead body making it glow a faint green You are a brilliant kid, but you can’t seem to figure out who I am? Pathetic

“I have an idea as to what you are, but I don’t want that to be true”

Well, let me make this easier for you before you head on back. The gremlin proposed I am indeed your quirk and you can only see me when you die. And to answer the dying question that you may have is that I am indeed sentient. Now goodbye. And like that Izuku woke up in the back alley fully healed.

He usually isn’t this late the underground hero Eraserhead thought to himself, waiting on the designated meeting spot for the hero and vigilante. Did he run into more trouble? Probably since he can sense it from a 100 meters

He’d think that was his quirk if his meetings with the vigilante didn’t give him any information. Especially since he is quirkless and technically not breaking the law

Sighing to himself Shouta decided to wait another 5 minutes before leaving

“Didn’t think you’d wait this long for me Eraser!” Mirage said in an overly cheer voice

Turning his posture so he now faces the vigilante he takes in what he sees. “I wouldn’t be here if you didn’t come in the next 5 minutes brat.”

Even though Shouta has never admitted it out loud, he had grown a liking to the young vigilante, even if he didn’t particularly like his nightly business.

“What happened to you?” Shouta questioned “Drop teriyaki sauce on ya or something?” pointing to the offender on the vigilante’s black sweater

Mirage laughed “Almost! I tripped when on the way here”

“I see-” before the hero could continue speaking the vigilante cut in

“Could you say your a master of removing quirks right?” What kind of question is that?

“What are you implying?” the underground hero asked

“Exactly what I mean Eraser, I want to remove a quirk for good.” Geeze this kid really is a problem child

“No Mirage I can’t do that, and I’m no master of removing them” he replied stone-cold tone “Why are you even asking?”

“Weeelll,” Mirage started “Turns out I’m not quirkless and I do not want it!” he said, with even more fake cheer you could just feel the disgust rolling off him on waves.

Sighing Shouta stood, “Sorry I can’t help you with your problems, either way, I have to get going”

“Aww so soon?~” the young vigilante cooed “I just got here”

“Well you got here late and I have a job to get to in the morning.”

So I recently re-watched the first mha movie Two Heroes, and well I took a look at Izuku’s old brown suit and the first thing that came to mind was - Is that Hisashi’s suit?, he did mention that he was glad that he found the suit.  And their is a higher possibility of the suit not being originally Izuku’s. I feel like he wouldn’t go to fancy events where he needed a suit before U.A

Izuku didn't process the moment when he had hit the ground. It was only when he looked over and down that he saw himself lying limp on the pavement. His deed was done.

Looking around where he landed, Izuku didn’t see anybody. But from the corner of his eye, Izuku saw this short green thing moving towards his dead body. Turning his head towards the green thing he was suppressed to see who - no - what it was. The creature looked something like those characters from an old video game. It had something to do with space and imposters, but the name was slipping his mind. The creature was short so to say. Shorter than Izuku. They were green, similar to the colour of his eyes. And it seemed that the creature was blind. Just by going off of what their eyes looked like

“What the...What the fuck!” Izuku shouted, as he watched the creature touch his dead body and it started to glow.

Said creature looks up at him and stares as the glowing starts to recede from his limp human body.

Hello Izuku, I’m Kenko and I’m your healer a voice said inside Izuku’s ghostly one

.

“How do you know my name?” Izuku asked schooling his face and going back to his normal monotone talking

.

No asking questions the voice stated in a firm tone, now off you go I’m not letting you give up that easily

.

The next moment their is a large flash of light and Izuku is waking up lying on the pavement, without any injuries or a speck of blood in sight.

.

‘What the hell was that?’ Izuku thought to himself as he got up and left to go the rest of the way home.

.

In another universe Izuku wouldn’t jump from the roof and he would walk past the same villain that attacked him, holding hostage a childhood friend, and later be offered a quirk by his hero. But in this universe Izuku doesn’t find himself reuniting with someone he hasn’t seen in years.

.

Making it home, Izuku braised himself before opening the door.

“Where tha hell were you!” Mr.Suzuki yelled at him from the living room.

.

‘Rrright, he has the day offt’ Izuku grimly thought to himself “There was a villain attack so I had to take the long way back” Izuku signed. He knew better than to talk when people anyone. Even if he spoke infront of a his favorite hero.

“I don’t fuckin care about your stupid excusess go do the chores!” Izuku quickly left the room to start on his chores.

.

Before he came here everyone had their own share of chores. But ever since the quirkless reject joined their home as a ward, Izuku gained all the duties.

.

Which also meant if the chores weren’t finished before supper he didn’t get food. Izuku didn’t really mind. It’s not like he ate a lot already, he’s just being less of a burden if he doesn’t eat their food.

Since I did not a great job at describing Kenko I drew how I thought them up

Endeavour: those rascals...

Todoroki: chill out dad...

Endeavour: I am chill!

Tordoroki: that’s new to me...I thought you were dad?

Kaminari: Objection! Boys are way stronger than girls!!

Jirou: then can you bleed for seven days straight and still survive?

Kaminari: ...

For the next six months, Izuku would meet up with Eraserhead at the same park bench twice a month. At first, it wasn’t intentional but now the vigilante and the hero like these little meetups.

Even if this sounds good things always have their bad moments. And with Izuku that was all the time.

but this was something that just seemed to make it worse.

.

“Can I be a hero without a quirk?” that’s the question he always wanted to ask someone. A hero who saves everyone. No matter their sex, race, or... anything for that matter.

.

but he knew that he should never dream big

.

“No, I don’t think someone without a quirk could become a hero without a quirk. It’s too dangerous”

.

It had already been a bad day (what day isn’t really). It was the 6 year anniversary of his mother’s death.

.

And to keep the ball rolling today was also the 3,500th time being told to go end his sorry little life.

.

It was quite hilarious actually. Not that suicide baiting and being told to give up your dream was funny. But that the exact same hero that told him to give up on his dreams had also left him on top of a roof. The building he was on seemed like a good 15 stories tall. Plus there was a beautiful sunset over the horizon.

what a great day to go diving….

Kicking off his faded red shoes, placing them neatly on the roof Izuku slowly walked closer, closer, and closer to the edge.

.

He was starting to feel free.

.

‘Why haven’t I ever thought of doing this instead of cutting myself!’ Izuku thought to himself happily

.

The world has no place for me anymore.

.

Izuku took one last deep breath, stretching his arms out beside him. Leaning forward Izuku fell. The wind rushed past him faster than ever.

.

Faster than bullet trains. It almost felt like he was flying. A small smile spread across his lips. Flying. That would be a fun quirk to have. It wouldn’t be useless. He wouldn’t be useless.
