lso inspired by Shawn Cross, this is my take on a portrait of major depressive disorder.

This is something I personally struggle with, and I know there’s a lot of other people out there with this as well. You can feel yourself sinking forever into this hopeless, dark abyss, almost as if you’re sinking below.

The hollow eyes sear craters in my flesh

I can feel you always

I am writhing.

A demon inside

You were reborn to die

His hand gripped your soul

And tried to take it all away

I saw the struggle in your eye

This disease has taken you

And I can't ask you to stay

This still creeps into my mind

How the fuck could I forget

When you asked me

"Can I die yet?”

Sometimes life gets fucked up

That’s why we get fucked up

I can still feel your touch

I still do those same drugs

That we used to do

I was used to you

“What have you been through? She asked me

Every fuckin kind of abuse.

I hope you all suffer as I have suffered.

I want you all

To suffer.

It's so hard to let go

You can hear me but I'm invisible

But if you dig out your eyes, maybe pain will subside

The worst that could happen is you never see me again

But the worst is yet to come, my friend

This path I walk is comforting

But now I'm left to sing this song alone
