wooden overcoats ep 3.02 "altar ego" is genuinely one of the most pro-sexual liberation pieces of fiction I've ever come across and it's not even close. antigone and the reverend co-write a sexy book and have the most fun ever and feel very accomplished for having written a whole novel. everyone on the island loves the book so much and discusses their favorite parts openly. the pen name used for the book's author becomes the island's most beloved public figure. rudyard has never voluntarily thought about sex in his life and this is fine because he doesn't have to do that if he doesn't wanna. the happy ending of the episode is that 90% of piffling vale are now going to spend their free time writing their own pornography for fun, with such pitches as "it's about a woman who divides her life between doing things and having sex." it's the perfect podcast episode.
