Hi, and congrats on 13 years on ao3!!!! If your fic requests are still open, i would love to see another ace Phineas fic! Maybe with him researching things, creating some sort of presentation, coming out to people, or bonding with Perry? I absolutely love your series, your writing is incredible đđ Sending you love!!!!
Thank you! They absolutely are still open, and Iâm more than happy to write more ace/aroace!Phineas. Itâs one of my favorite headcanons, and I love getting to explore it. <3 (This also isn't the last you'll see of this! I have an Isabella POV fic in the works, that'll touch some more on things.)
Disclaimer: This isn't beta'd like my normal stuff, so forgive me for any mistakes; they're all my own.

Phineas was pushing it pretty close to curfew, not that Mom and the Dads would be that upset if he missed it, as long as he texted one of them to let them know.
He'd dropped Isabella off at her door, getting a soft, lingering hug and a kiss on the cheek for his efforts, and hurried across the street to get home. The smile on his face was starting to hurt, but they'd had so much fun on their friend date!
The light above the back door was still on, so he didn't bother pulling out his keys, instead heading straight inside.
Mom was sitting at the kitchen table by herself, drinking a cup of tea, and she greeted, "Hey, honey."
"Hi, Mom!" he said cheerfully. His shoes got kicked off into the pile by the door, and he padded his way toward the stairs.
"Phineas hon, could you hold on one second?" Mom asked.
He stopped and turned. "Yeah, what's up?"
She had an odd expression on her face as she said, "I saw you and Isabella just getting back. Did you have a nice time at the movies?"
"⌠Yeah?" Phineas said, not sure what was going on. "It wasn't as good as the first one, but sequels usually aren't."
"You know your dads and I love you, right?" Mom asked.
It was so out of left field that Phineas was left fumbling in his confusion. "Um⌠Yeah, of course⌠Uh⌠What's all this about?"
"Just⌠If things are more complicated than you boys are letting onâŚ" Mom said, stumbling over her words. "If you're both dating IsabellaâŚ"
Phineas's stomach dropped out from underneath him, even though he knew he had nothing to be truly worried about. "Mom, I told you guys I don't like her like that. We're just friends."
"Okay, then," she said, still not seeming to understand. "It's just that you boys are growing up, and you don't tell us what's going on with you as much, and I know it's just because you're getting to that age, but-"
"Mom," he said, cutting her off, "I love Isabella like Dad loves you and Dad. She's my best friend, but I don't want to date her."
"Oh," Mom said. Slowly, her expression turned thoughtful.
Phineas paused for a moment before confessing, "I don't think I ever want to date anyone." His fists balled up tightly at his sides as he braced himself for her reaction, his nails digging into the skin of his palms.
Mom's face dropped, and his nails dug in deeper.
Tears were starting to prick at the corners of his eyes, when she got up and enveloped him in a hug.
"Oh, baby," she said softly, soothingly, "that's okay. As long as you're happy."
He sagged against her, nuzzling his face into her shoulder, and hugging her back tightly. She hadn't called him that since he was so small he could barely remember, and it meant everything that she'd call him it now.
"That's all your Dads and I ever want for you kids, is to be happy," she told him, rubbing a hand over his hair and back. "And I'd never be upset at you for feeling like this. It's how we figured things would be with your dad for the longest time, and just because he eventually got married, doesn't mean we'd expect you to."
Phineas nodded against her shoulder.
"Did you talk to your dad about how you felt? I bet he'd be a lot of help," she said.
His words ended up muffled by her shirt, but he said, "Yeah, I talked to him as soon as I realized."
Mom let out a little chuckle. "Well, he's very good at keeping secrets," she said. "He didn't let on in the slightest."
"He did used to be a spy," Phineas joked, starting to feel better and pulling back from his mom.
Not letting the moment slide, Mom reached up and cupped his face and said gently, "I'll always support you one-hundred percent, Phineas."
"I know," he said, resting his hands on hers. "It's because you're the best mom ever."
"And whenever you're ready to tell your other dads, I'll be there if you want me," she said.
"That'd be nice."
---
A few days later, he called a parent conference, his laptop hooked up to the TV in the den, clicker in hand as Mom and the Dads squeezed onto the couch.
"I'm remembering now why we agreed to put a family room in the basement," Dad said, as they got situated. "We're like sardines. What did we even used to do with our elbows?"
Mom sighed and grabbed his arm, throwing it around her shoulders. "There, Lawrence."
"What's this even about?" Other Other Dad complained. "I was in the middle of a very sensitive experiment."
âHeinz, you were poking at the mold in your mini-fridge in the lab,â Other Dad signed with an eye roll.
"Sure, Perry the Platypus, but how did it get there?" Other Other Dad asked. "Maybe it'll disappear before I get back. Or even evolve."
"Heinz, you can't go growing strange mold where you store food!" Mom scolded. "You had better get that cleaned out as soon as we're done here."
Phineas cleared his throat before the two of them could get into it as they were prone to.
"I called you here because I have a presentation for you all," he told them.
He was Phineas Flynn. He wasn't going to let a little thing like coming out to his other two parents make him nervous. He'd been to space and seen other dimensions and time-traveled. He could do this.
âGo ahead, kiddo,â Other Dad signed.
"So I've already talked to two of you about this, but I figured everyone should have all the details, soâŚ"
He hit the button on the clicker and the blank slide on the TV transitioned into another in a small shower of pixelated sparkles. Okay, sue him, he let himself have a bit more fun with this one than his normal business powerpoints.
'So Your Child Is Aroace' the title card read.
Other Other Dad mouthed the words on the screen, looking confused.
"This is me coming out to you," Phineas said, and then, for some reason unknown even to him, he did jazz hands.
Dad smiled warmly at him and said, "That's lovely, Phin, but what isâŚ" His brow furrowed. "I'm not even going to pretend to know how to pronounce that."
Before he could answer, Other Other Dad muttered to Other Dad, "They're gonna accuse us of corrupting the youth, Perry the Platypus. That's a full half of them now. Plus some of their friends."
Other Dad covered his mouth, but Phineas could see his shoulders subtly shaking in held-in laughter.
"Shush, Heinz," Mom said, smacking him lightly on the knee. "You need to be supportive of our son."
"What?" Other Other Dad asked incredulously. "I'm being supportive! I'm here aren't I?" He said to Phineas, "Look, kid, I don't even know what you're trying to tell us, but buy me a flag for whatever it is, and I'll make sure to put it up in the lab." Then he stuck his tongue out at Mom and said, "There! See?"
Mom let out a long-suffering sigh, but Phineas smiled.
Using that as a segue into the next slide, he hit the clicker and said, "So, it's pronounced arrow-ace, and what it means isâŚ"

#they really said âyou canât use wiki as an academic source-use our garbage AI thatâs even less reliableâ#and you canât even opt out of it
no but you can FORCE it away. use ublock origin and copy paste the blacklist i made into the filters to be able to remove the bullshit AI overview that google forces. it also removes youtube's forced ads (at least until they fix it)
you can also use the ublacklist extension and use this blacklist of AI image generation websites to curate your google image results
there are ALWAYS ways around stuff. it's just a matter of looking into it and asking around

know that if you are a regular commenter of mine but we havent really spoken I have almost certainly assigned a favourite ship, character and personality to you that, based on my track record with other commenters, is likely 100% wrong
Gathering things my roommate has said she likes in a story, wondering if they can be wrangled into one cohesive storyline. So far I've got:
1. Amnesia storyline trope
2. Fake dating but only in the context of two strangers bumping into each other and spontaneously playing along (she does not like when its friends agreeing to it ahead of time)
3. A quirky little wizard that causes problems
4. Train content. Preferably fancy trains. The more trains the better.
person A has amnesia and has wandered into a train station with no idea of what is going on. A is wandering through and bumps into person B as theyâre buying tickets and B blurts that theyâre dating, A goes along with it and gets on the train with them. person C is a funky lil wizard whoâs also on the train and may or may not be the key to recovering Aâs memory

I started using Head and Shoulders ten years ago for itchy scalp and dandruff, and then for ten years I have not had itchy scalp and dandruff, so I thought âwhy do I still buy shampoo to combat itchy scalp and dandruff when I do not have itchy scalp and dandruff,â so I stopped buying the shampoo for itchy scalp and dandruff and can you guess I have now? Can you predict what currently afflicts me? Itâs alright if you canât because apparently I fuckin couldnât either
Cutting something out of your life because you think you donât need it any more only to realize that it was in fact working as intended and preventing a problem that will return should you stop doing this is a good experiment to run periodically with something small like dandruff shampoo, lest you start to think it would be a good idea to do this with like letâs say public health and the social safety net and vaccines
I had a liver transplant when I was 14 and like six months later I was chatting with my surgeon and he said âthereâs gonna come a time, probably when youâre a teenager, where youâre gonna think, âI feel great, why am I still taking all this medication? I havenât needed it in years.â and youâre gonna want to stop taking all this medication. Guess whatâs gonna happen then? Youâre gonna go into rejection and your liver is gonna start failing, and youâre gonna be dying again, and weâre gonna have to find you another liver. So donât do that.â And I said âwhy the fuck would anyone do that?â and he said âpeople are stupid.â
every once in a while when I get annoyed by a pharmacy or donât wanna get out of bed to do my drugs I think âugh, this is dumb, why do I do this?â and that conversation slams into me like a truck and I remember that I am, in fact, stupid

me holding a gun to a mushroom: tell me the name of god you fungal piece of shit
mushroom: can you feel your heart burning? can you feel the struggle within? the fear within me is beyond anything your soul can make. you cannot kill me in a way that matters
me cocking the gun, tears streaming down my face: IâM NOT FUCKING SCARED OF YOU
as a polish queer woman and human rights activist, i know exactly how you're feeling right now and what to expect from these elections. i lived through the 2015-2023 regime of pis, a right-wing populist party that divided families in the same way trump did. iâve experienced the rise of fascism in poland, the influence of far-right parties like konfederacja, and their âsantaâs little helpersââordo iuris, an ultra-conservative catholic organization (banned in many countries, mind you) that helped enforce a near-total abortion ban and runs anti-queer campaigns in public spaces. i supported the black protests in 2016 as a middle schooler when they first tried to ban abortion. as an adult, i actively participated in the 2020 womenâs strike, running from police tear gas daily after they finally passed the ban. i supported friends who faced charges.
iâve lived through intense homophobia in poland as a queer teen and adult. i survived the first pride march in my hometown, where far-right extremists threw stones and glass at us. i endured the anti-queer propaganda spread by the ruling party in state-owned media. i survived the ârainbow night,â polandâs own stonewall moment in summer 2020, when police arrested around 50 queer activists following the arrest of margo, a nonbinary activist. i survived the "lgbt-free zones," the targeted violence, the slurs from strangers on the street, and the protests i held against queerphobia. it was hard as fuck, but i survived.
but just because i survived, it doesnât mean others did. many women died because of the abortion banâmarta, justyna, izabela, dorota, joanna, maria, and many others who didnât survive pisâs draconian anti-abortion laws. milo, kacper, michaĹ, zuzia (she was 12), wiktor, and other queer and trans kids and young adults took their own lives because of the relentless queerphobia.
despite all of this, our experience in poland can serve as a guide now. here are some tips for staying safe and how we, polish queers and women, organized under the regime:
safety first, always. if you know someone whoâs had an abortion, no you donât. if you know someone is trans, no you donât. if you know people who help with safe abortions, no you donâtâat least not until you know itâs 100% safe to share. if you are queer or have had an abortion, only share this with people you trust fully. most importantly, not everyone has to be an activist just because theyâre part of a minority. if it feels unsafe to share that you're queer, trans, etc., then donât. it doesnât make you any less queer.
use secure, encrypted messaging like signal for conversations on potentially risky topics, such as queerness, abortion, organizing counter-actions, protestsâanything that might be used against you.
stay anonymous online. if you want to research or report something without surveillance, do not use regular internet. get a vpn (mullvad is affordable and reliable), download the tor browser (for both onion and standard links), and if you plan to whistleblow, consider using a riseup email account.
organize and build networks. community is everything now. support each other, foster independence, because your government wonât have your back. set up collectives, grassroots movements. create lists of trusted professionalsâlawyers, doctors, etc.âwho can offer support.
to lawyers and doctors: please consider pro-bono work. this is what got us through polandâs hardest times. your work will be needed now more than ever.
for protests or risky actions: always write a pro-bono lawyerâs number on your arm with a permanent marker.
