I get irritated w/ straight Wednesday fans who throw tantrums over Wenclair being a ship. Because I know for a fact if it was a straight ship yall would be all over that shit. Let me preface this by saying I know not everyone is going to ship Wenclair and that’s completely fine and not shipping it is not inheritley homophobic. I have a problem with people whining over the fact that the ship exists especially with the excuse “they’re best friends!!” As if yall haven’t shipped male-female best friends MULTIPLE TIMES before (fictional AND nonfictional). Second thing I’ll say is their dynamic as a straight ship has been eaten up so many times (dark, moody x sunshine). So please just admit you’re homophobic it makes it easier for everyone. Anywho that’s my rant.

I just got watched the Twilight Saga and I really loved it! I know that vampires have always been super popular which is great but I loved the werewolves of twilight and wish we saw more of them. Werewolf media is not nearly as popular from what I can tell so does anyone have reccs for werewolf centered shows, movies, books, etc.? 🌙

NONE OF THE HUNGER GAMES DISTRICTS WOULD BE CONSIDERED MIDDLE CLASS!! In my humble opinion :). Also while reading please keep in mind I have only read the original trilogy so far so I may be missing context (no spoilers pls lol)! Whenever the Met Gala comes around so does Hunger Games discourse, people will often comment “oh I’m watching from district 12” etc etc. It’s not this joke I will be discussing it’s the RESPONSE it elicits. People will try to be snappy and reply “well you have [name brand] clothes, technology, (or anything that suggests being in the middle class range) so you’re district 3, 2, 1”. I disagree with this. The only things that the upper districts are privileged to is better access to food and training for the games. The Capitol HOARDS wealth it is the only area that benefits from the system in place. I think suggesting that the upper districts are anywhere close to owning Lululemon or an iPhone chips away at the fundamental storyline and the message of the Hunger Games. I was thinking about the Hunger Games today and I realized something. President Snow was never able to fulfill his fantasy of owning Lucy Gray (a victor) so he set up a system where victors could be “owned”/bought by members of the capitol..cough cough..Finnick Odair. Suzanne Collins is a genius.
