Personally, though, I’ve always adored tiaras. Does a single accessory convey “princess” the way a tiara does? They’re our prerogative, prettier and more practical than a crown, able to be worn as a part of a princess’s favourite hairdos. I savour wearing mine, be it a requirement for a formal event, to meet someone important or simply because I wish to feel pretty for a day. I dream of the day a lover will take my handmaiden’s place, and be the one to place it upon my head every morning.
