You know, people give female villains a lot of shit, especially in the case of 'evil counterpart' storylines, because the evil counterpart or evil female character in general is almost always hypersexualized in what's meant to be a 'she's EVIL so she doesn't care about GOOD things like MODESTY' type way (somebody else can write the essay on how body positivity+enjoyment of sex in women = evil), but I do just want to point out that the major transformation we see when Chronos turns over a new leaf is that he covers his nipples, because, apparently, now that he's a good guy he cares about good things like modesty 🤷‍♀️

I usually prefer Comic Sans, Open Dyslexic, or any other font designed for the dyslexic community (all letters look different), not because I myself am dyslexic (though that is a fantastic inclusive benefit), but also because the 'every letter looks different' part helps creativity by making sure your eyes don't glaze over for lack of visual interest. I write all my fics in Open Dyslexic for this reason!

I thought Aetos could speak, since he had a name and Prometheus talks about him like he's human , such as when he says "Aetos here came around eventually", implying persuasion and the ability to understand (and therefore presumably respond to) speech, but it turns out Aetos literally just means 'eagle'.

Somebody somewhere (I'm guessing Zeus) really saw an eagle that could understand human speech and be trained to return to the same mountain every day for a meal, and decided they couldn't be bothered to name it anything more exciting than 'eagle'.

Miss me with those "Hades is so basic he named his dog Spot" posts, because Zeus is so basic he named his eagle Eagle.

I will defend this design to the ends of the earth. Yes they’re hot, that’s merely a bonus.

1) that’s not a shirt that’s a fucking Galaxy under that suit. Mf has no body, just a vaguely body shaped void. Meaning floating head and hands that aren’t attached to anything. You take those clothes off and it’s the fucking void. They’re non binary AND sexless. Beyond any physical body, just shaped like it for fun.

2) the old bodies head dead in their hands and simultaneously birthing a foetus. That’s the circle of life, a rebirth, a metamorphosis. Chaos is above a god, they’re primordial. They don’t have a permanent appearance or identity. They’re ever changing. They look like this now, but if there were another game, they’d change again. They’re always changing, killing their old self and reshaping it. The wings have also moved and grown from the head to the back. Chaos expands indefinitely, bigger and unable to be contained in any way. They don’t even need wings, they can float. But they decided to have them anyway, just because. Because they can.

3) this is Ancient Greece. Suits don’t exist yet. Chaos took clothing from thousands of years in the future. They’re beyond time itself, they’re not effected by Chronos in any way. They’re in their own realm outside of time an space, they know things from the past, present and future.

4) the hair being the same colour as and long like many of their grandchildren, family resemblance there. Almost like they’re,,, missing them. Despite being this omnipresent being beyond human emotion, they still care in their own way. Copying them to feel some form of deeper connection.

5) the earth is an earring now. That’s how inconsequential it is to a being like chaos. It’s just there, an accessory, nothing special.

I could go on. Maybe I’m reading too deep into it but given the fact all the designs in the first and second games tend to have symbolism in them based on the myths the gods come from and what they represent, I don’t think I’m too insane for seeing symbolism here.

If people are going to apply real world politics to Hades II I’m going to apply some philosophy. The God who has mistreated mortals the most is actually Prometheus being he’s the one to create humans. Human were birthed into lives of inescapable suffering and endless toil. Every mortal will suffer beyond things the gods do. Most everyday suffering humans endure has nothing to do with the gods. Humans are also extremely cruel to animals and other humans and there’s no one else to blame for that fact besides Prometheus because he created them to be this way. Prometheus created humans that are very cruel. The treatment of women in Ancient Greece was absolutely nightmarish. Their suffering was truly unimaginable. From a philosophical standpoint Prometheus is beyond cruel for creating mortals in the first place, especially mortal women, who will only know suffering and will be born into in a living hell because the other mortals Prometheus created and the fact he created mortals that suffer like women do. All suffering that humans and animals face because of other humans is the fault of Prometheus.
