White Lily and Silent Salt date Dates
(THIS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE EP. 12)
The kingdom was in its usual brightness, with other cookies chattering about themselves, as the day passed.
However, two cookies, one ancient, one beast, sat together at an outdoor restaurant. The tension between them was a tiny bit awkward since neither of them had really spoken anything since their arrival at the place.
Before that day, White Lily couldn't help but feel something odd in the air, mostly around Silent Salt. It wasn’t until last night where he had confessed his feelings towards her and wished to take her out somewhere nice. Which is how they exactly got here.
“Anything you like on the menu, Silent Salt?” White Lily's voice broke the quiet in the air as she motioned to the menus that sat in front of them. Silent Salt remained silent, as if he were thinking of what to say next. “The Frosted Donuts seem to be of quite delicacy…” He muttered under his breath, clearly not yet replying to her even if she could still hear him. “Maybe the Strawberry Cake? No-no, not yet, that remains as dessert…” White Lily couldn't help but get a little interested in his thought process as he continued.
“That's it… I shall have the Candy Pasta, then I'll have the opportunity to eat the cake.” Before White Lily could speak, Silent Salt faced his helm towards her. “The Candy Pasta has peaked my interest. Though I must ask, will you be wanting dessert?” He inquired, having a small hint of wanting.
She politely nodded at his question, “Yes, dessert would be delightful to have.” She looked at her own menu and quietly picked one she liked. “I think I'm going to get the Fluffy Omurice.” She gently placed her menu back down but noticed Silent Salt leaning forward. “That is of great choice, White Lily, I am impressed by your taste.” praised Silent Salt, however, White Lily blushed a tiny bit at his remark. “That is rather kind of you, thank you.” She giggled, but before Silent Salt could reply their waiter had came up. “Are you two ready to order?” They asked.
Once the waiter had taken their order and taken their menus, she noticed Silent Salt sat stiffly clearly under deep thought of his own, however White Lily took this as a chance to ask a question that had been lingering in her mind for some time. “Sorry if this seems rude but-.“ she paused trying not to catch him off guard. “How do you eat?” She questioned as politely as she could be. As the question lingered in the air, Silent Salt remained- silent. It wasn’t until a couple of seconds later, he finally replied. “I simply do.” The answer he gave confused her but she decided not to press further.
“So, have you been doing new activities ever since?…” She paused quietly midway not daring to talk about the past.
“Gardening.” He spoke bluntly. “I have grown fond of the soil in my hands, it is calming.” White Lily smiled at that, she remembered that was one of the first things she suggested to him after he arrived at the kingdom. “That's nice! What plants have you been caring for?” She coaxed. “…Daylilies.” He paused his breath beginning to shake a tiny bit. “I planted other flowers… however they seemed to, wilt, upon being near me. But when I treated those. They remained.” She nodded at his words a small blush covering her cheeks. “They remind me of you, if you weren't- Egh? White?” He grew a little confused but stopped once White Lily's giggle came through.
“There's no need, it's actually kinda sweet of you to think of that way, even if their colors do not match mine.” Her voice cooed and seemingly calmed Silent Salt down. “I think the most important thing is that you are trying to change for the better.” Silent Salt nodded politely and kinda showing that he enjoyed her praise.
It wasn't long before their waiter finally came back with their food. As they placed the plates in front of them White Lily felt her stomach growl and her mouth watering, she looked over to Silent Salt and his Candy Pasta, watching him just glare at his plate like he was using his mind to eat it. She shrugged as her appetite couldn't wait as she stabbed a fork into the egg. White Lily chewed quietly as she began to feel a little awkward at the quietness of Silent Salt, especially since he wasn't doing anything. “Aren't you going to eat? Your pasta might get cold.” She munched before gently wiping her mouth with a napkin.
“I am simply waiting for the right moment, one shall eat dinner slowly.” He concluded. White Lily slowed her eating as she just watched him glaring at the candy pasta.
It wasn’t until she briefly glanced away from him and somewhere behind her. But when she faced back her face paled in utter confusion, somehow?! In that brief second Silent Salt had seemingly eaten the entire candy pasta!? “Wait- huh- what just-“ She stuttered as the logic was suddenly thrown out the door. “How did-? Did you just eat all of that in a second!?” She gulped down her food while the shock of his action ran through her head. “I certainly did.” He said as if it were the most normal thing in the world. White Lily couldn't help but just stare at him with utter shock.
“I believe I have lost my appetite now, after- that…” She whispered swallowing the last piece of food she was willing to eat. “Does that mean we can have dessert now?” Silent Salt had hummed waiting patiently for White Lily's answer. “I guess so?…”
After trading in their plates for the dessert and another impossible eating of Silent Salt happening again, coins were placed upon the table as they began to walk away together. The day was still bright and barely the afternoon. “Weird that we had dinner in the morning, don't you think the same, White Lily?” He spoke. “Why did I request a date and- have it in the middle of the day? Why did I do that???.” Silent Salt began to question himself, she wasn’t entirely against his speaking, however, she was growing rather tired after having much food so early on.
She leaned a little closer to Silent Salt while not paying much attention to his rambling about how stupid it was of him to set up a date midday and how he would promise to never do it again.
“Silent Salt?” He continued with his rambling as she realized that she spoke a little too low for him to hear over his thoughts.
White Lily then rolled her eyes, before Silent Salt knew it she had leaned towards the cheek of his helmet and gave a small peck, which had stopped his speaking and his walking pace. Even with the helmet on, the purpose and action of White Lily's kiss had been more effective than she realized herself.
“I'll see you soon Silent Salt.” She cooed before walking away from him and waving off.
Silent Salt simply stood there, the kiss still ringing through him. “I am doomed… But, I feel more alive than I have ever felt in my many years.” He breathed as he felt his heart spike unusually.
