Evolució by Onionlab / Mapping Festival 2013

Evolució

Onionlab presents Evolució, a piece that revolves around the graphic and sound abstraction of the concept it is named after: evolution. It is construed as transformation, construction and alteration of reality through time; evolution as a discontinuous creation process as well.

Created with 3D projection mapping techniques, this time, Evolució was projected onto the façade of the Musées d’art et d’histoire de Genève, though the piece takes the evolution concept even further: It was conceived as an open transformation process so that it can also be adapted to different façades and projection surfaces, and so that Evolució can continue its transformation process.

Another day in the office. Only 6 days till deadline day.. Busy busy busy. Also, I've been playing with my new bamboo chris Wainman bought me for my birthday :) love it!!

Today i decided to take charge and change my groups logo for management and production. We have been changing designs for the last 2 weeks and decided to design a logo to suit our needs, contact the audience perfectly and look awesome!! What do you think of our new Nautical design logo?

These are a few examples of creative CVs for graphic designers, i will use aspects from these to design my own original CV.

So today i have been working on my CV i need to complete for my promotional module of this course. i need my CV to be different to other CVs, Creative to show how i could help a creative agency, colourful and interesting to look at as well as being legible and easy to read. As you can see i have created my own design style using bold and striking colours to attract the reader. I will also use a range of info graphics to make the CV look more attractive and easier to understand and read.

DOES IT PAY TO SHOCK? What impact does shock advertising have on the minds of the audience and to what extent is it appropriate within anti smoking campaigns?

So last week i finally handed in my extended essay for design discourse, 4208 words later i have discovered that it does pay to shock. i shall be uploading a PDF copy if anyone finds this title interesting.

I recently attended the second year design student’s exhibition, showcasing work they had completed in various modules. I event layout in particular grabbed my attention immediately, using a circular frame to hold the individuals work. The work overall was of a good standard, I would say they do have a lot to learn, but my fellow students and myself were of a the same standard during the second year also. Going to the second year’s exhibition has given me great excitement to get our exhibition underway.

Today has consisted of making all f the final alterations to my essay on shock advertising ready for hand in come Thursday. It's been a difficult 4000 words to write!

Today i have been working on a logo for my business management group, our group has decided to create a company that works within the marine industry branding boats and sails. With my background knowledge in both design, sailing and as i have worked as part of a sailing branding company before i believe i have a firm grip of what needs to be done to make this concept strong. Further i have been in contact with both companies within the trade to find out how much they charge and local sign-writers to see how much it would cost to acquire vinyl ready for application. The business is looking strong with some great ideas coming from all of us in the group.
