First pic: all of my phone's beauty settings set to the max Second pic: all settings set to 0 (I am wearing some light foundation and some concealer on my chin and under my eyes) I have pretty low self esteem and pretty much always see myself as a bog troll, but I also think that we have to be cautious about the internet and what we see here. I follow a lot of fashion/beauty people because, well, I like them, but I also find myself (regardless that I know better) comparing myself. Now, my phone's beauty settings are almost always set to 0 (although I admit to using the skin smoother to a mild degree when my adult acne gets bad) I desperately want my online persona to truthfully reflect who I am irl. That means I may occasionally post some of my bare face or fat body. But that's ok. I accept me. I don't expect other to accept me as I am. If I post online wearing makeup that's to showcase my love for fashion and beauty hobbies, not to inaccurately present myself! Obviously I'm not an internet personality, but I think that they too should start being a little more real. It's one thing to have a persona or a "look" for a brand, but its another to edit or.manipulate your looks constantly. This is why we need #bodypositivity and #selflove #beauty #beautyfilters #selfie #plussize #loveyourself https://www.instagram.com/p/CBI5HyQlpyY/?igshid=8347citcg3jv
