Are you excited about Weatherly coming back to NCIS? I'm not, he's disgusting. I'll never get over how badly he treated ED on Bull. He also aged terribly. He really should stop drinking, it's not a good look on him. Tiva freaks are once again being the loud idiots they are. I do hope Weatherly screws them over and ruins T&Z. I will be skipping the next season. I wish Weatherly and de Pablo would finally move on from NCIS but yeah, they won't because they need it. It's all they got going for them and their careers.
Can't say that I am excited but I also gave up on NCIS. MW has been problematic for me long before the ED scandal. As for his drinking, I thought he stopped drinking after his DUI incident? I didn't follow him or his work after NCIS so I'm not really sure. And as a guy I don't really look at men like that, so I'm not really the person to ask if he looks good or not. Or if he has the look of an alcoholic.
Yeah, the drama wasn't missed by me but I honestly don't check the tags that much. I follow still active blogs and reblog what I see on my dash, rarely going through the tags for a number of reasons. But I was chatting with other NCIS related blogs and they mentioned the drama in the tags. My impression so far (just talking about the little safe bubble I'm interacting with) is that they're not that happy about his return but as I've stated already, I stopped watching so I honestly don't care if MW is back. I only came back once to watch Bishop's return and that was it.
Did MW anything else after NCIS? Aside from Bull, I mean? I know CdP did that mini series for CBS following her NCIS exit (I think it didn't do very well rating wise?) and did that one movie and some short films but that was all, right? I don't even know how Tony & Ziva did, rating wise as I'm not interested in watching either of them. I'm really not the right person to talk to about the current NCIS or specific cast members/characters.
On that note, I miss McGee and Jimmy the most, but also Kasie and Torres but the additions of Parker and Knight have turned me off and those two sort of ruin the show for me. Vance isn't there anymore either but I'm always watching my DVDs and reruns of the seasons pre S19.
I have to agree with the anon - I saw some gif sets from T&Z in the tags and MW didn't look so good. He aged pretty well during the years on NCIS so I think it is definitely the drinking but I don't know it for sure. Not happy that he's getting the chance to come back to NCIS though.
The Fun Thing Everyone Forgets About Michael Weatherly...
Eliza Dushku shared her experience facing sexual harassment on the set of CBS' "Bull" in front of a House Judiciary Committee.
Eliza Dushku Speaks Out on Sexual Harassment, Firing and Retaliation on CBS’ ‘Bull’ for House Judiciary Committee
Eliza Dushku shared her experience facing sexual harassment on the set of CBS' "Bull" in front of a House Judiciary Committee.
In 2016, Dushku had a recurring role in Season 1 of “Bull” that was meant to become a regular role, but she alleges that she was fired from the show after accusing star Michael Weatherly of sexual harassment. She received a $9.5 million settlement from CBS, the Boston Globe reported in 2018.
“I was told that the role would be a six-year commitment to play a smart, strong leading lady, a confident high-powered lawyer meant to counterbalance the existing male lead, and that the role had been written specifically with me in mind,” Dushku said. “However, in my first week on my new job I found myself the brunt of crude, sexualized and lewd verbal assaults. I suffered near constant sexual harassment from my co-star. This was beyond anything I had experienced in my 30-year career.”
The male co-star “frequently referred to me as ‘legs.’ He would smell me and leeringly look me up and down. Off script, in front of about 100 crew members and cast members, he once said that he would take me to his rape van and use lube and long phallic things on me and take me over his knee and spank me like a little girl. Another time he told me that his sperm were powerful swimmers.”
The reason she won the lawsuit was because they had recordings from the outtakes of him saying these things.
UHH FFS this asshole is making the rounds again. Just a reminder for people who don't know or have forgotten that he is a complete wanker.
I know everyone is excited about his upcoming appearance in NCIS but bear in mind this is the calibre of man you're supporting.
I should be shocked that he's coming back to NCIS and is still working but honestly, I'm not. CBS keeps giving work to problematic people (look at Perrette, she got her own -flop- show after leaving NCIS and slandering several co-stars). I read the full article and now knowing what exactly he said on more than once, that his harrasment was filmed... disgusting is too nice to describe what I think about him and his actions. On the other hand, so many actors and actresses have said or done very bad things and they still get booked for lead roles.
I don't like the direction NCIS has taken after Mark left so I stopped watching. NCIS had several actors/actresses that are in my opinion problematic, not to mention how toxic some of the characters/writing but Weatherly is a pig and I wish he wouldn't get casted for anything. Or asked to return to a show he left.
On another note, it is kind of poetic justice that quite a few Tiva fans stopped supporting him because he supposedly "screw them/Tiva over". Shows you how little they actually care about him or his career if it doesn't include CdP/Tiva.
There's already plenty of reasons to dislike him, to stop supporting him because of his actions and I'm not looking forward to see the Tiva fans taking over the tags once again because they think they are entitled to shit.
