âSome spellâ Tyler groaned, running his thumb across his dampened brow, âis this the reassuring part where you tell me things like this happen all the time here?â he questioned hopefully, as his brow piqued. He could already anticipate the response that was coming, but even so he chose to remain optimistic. As Alaric began to question Tylerâs words, he gave a stern nod, motioning to his head as he murmured, âsnakes, man. As in â medusa⌠although I canât say Iâve seen anybody turned to stone, but I guess everyone knows the story.â As he readjusted his stance, getting used to the feel of the weapon in his hands, the wolf gave a soft chuckle, accompanied by a shake of his head, âcrossbows and stakes? yes - shotguns, rarely. Guess he didnât trust me with emââ he teased. With a nod of agreement, Tyler responded to Ricâs plan of taking everyone to the gym and spelling it to protect them. âAnyone I see in the halls, Iâll send them that way.â
Alaric could only shrug and give a nod of his head, it wasnât something he enjoyed but they both knew how troublesome magic could be if in the wrong hands and sometimes the power of magic had the ability to change people. Even Bonnie struggled with the power she got from expression and being warned not to push her abilities. âHave you see anyone look at it?â He asks Tyler stopping in his tracks unable to hold off the fact he was curious about the creature, âIt looking directly at them too?â He wondered if the creature had the ability to turn people and wasnât doing so for a reason or if the myths had gotten something wrong. âIts getting to be disparate times, trusting any of you with weapons.â Alaric jokes but in all honesty he rather them guns in their hands than he would have left the twins alone with either of them. âWe shouldnât go too far from one another, You take the east end of the main hall, Iâll take the west and we meet up in the middle again.â
