Just a few notes:

Not that it matters, but Cate's Mom was exactly right about how it would affect Cate.

I really believe Brandon and Teresa originally wanted the same thing that Cate and Ty did for their adoption journey.

I wonder that if the cameras were not there, if Cate and Ty would've backed out of the adoption at the last minute. They waited 5 hours to let B & T meet the baby, and they really seemed to put off the hand off (understandably). Even if they were just trying to get as much time as possible and would not have backed out, I sense that B & T were very worried by this, and it may have been the first "tick against" Cate & Ty.

The next "tick against" Cate & Ty was likely going forward with Teen Mom. This made Carly's identity muddy in the eyes of the audience, and I could see how this might make B & T nervous. They had no way to anticipate this during "16 and Pregnant" (neither did C & Ty).
