   he didn’t roll his eyes, even if it was close. it was sweet and naive, in his opinion, to even think that way. in his mind, the marriages were one of the stupidest ideas that could have been thrown at the end of war, but hey, he was still here, wasn’t he? playing nice.   “   i doubt it,   “   he answered, eyes wandering over the fields and then back to the other.   “   on the good side, though, nature probably will not wait for us to decide anything and just… do its thing, i guess.   “

With Amber’s arms crossed in front of her, it was easy to conceal her clenched fists under her arms, though that did virtually nothing for the clenched jaw and deadpan green eyes. “That’s nauseatingly optimistic,” she scoffed, “Forcing people into marriages is just gonna piss more people off, but sure, why not manufacture an already manufactured construct?”

  She eyed the spots, feeling some sympathy for all those who lost things in the past. Now it’s as if it didn’t even happen, expecting people to move on and forget what was gone. “I don’t think it’ll ever be the same. There’s wars all the time and something is lost.” 

Anna-May looked to the other before looking back out at the fields. Her heatr sank at the sight, but the girl’s words caused a ghost of a smile to grace her own lips. “One can only hope. A wise man once said ‘ Love is at the root at everything, all learning, all relationships, love or the lack of it.’ I hope maybe if we can teach the world to love again, it will be reflected in the world itself.” she replied warmly. “It’s certainly nice to think about.”
