Sakura softly tugging on Syaoranâs sleeve, headcanons
Okay, but hear me out. At first, it was only to say âpleaseâ because Sakuraâs too shy to say it, but as time passes by, she starts to unconsciously tug on Syaoranâs sleeve or shirt and it magically became a habit. Syaoran was startled the first couple of times but became used to it soon, and realizes he loves it when Sakura does that.
Thereâs this one time they were falling in line towards the zoo and Yamazaki cracks a bad joke and everyone cringed, Sakura grips on Syaoranâs sleeve instead.
They were watching a movie in Tomoyoâs theatre and a sudden brownout happened and Sakura literally grabbed on Syaoranâs sweater, it was yanked off to his side, one side of his collarbone was exposed.
The whole squad went to a festival and Syaoran stumbled back by a step because of Sakuraâs sudden grip on his back. He turned to see her eyes sparkling while staring at the stuff animals in a booth.
When Syaoran was needed in Hong Kong for a while and his friends sent him off in the airport (although he insisted heâs fine by himself), Sakura clutched on his sleeve. He smiles back at her. They knew they just said silently that theyâll miss each other.
Chiharu brought her dog with her and Sakura literally squealed in delight with her hands wrapped around Syaoranâs arm, it was swaying because Sakura was moving too much out of happiness.
Tomoyo wasnât able to perform because of a sudden cold and Sakura was upset because she knew Tomoyo had looked really forward to it. The whole time theyâre in Daidoujiâs house, Sakura was clutching on Syaoranâs sleeve.
When Sakura, extremely feeling guilty, had confessed to him that she went alone that night because she doesnât want to worry him, she saw his upset face. Assuming heâs mad at her, she felt her eyes getting teary and softly pulled on his hooded sweatshirtâs drawstring with her head down. Syaoran knew sheâs saying sheâs sorry and he could only sigh, smile gently and pull her in a hug. Sakura sobbed hard on his neck while clutching tightly on his sweatshirt with trembling hands.
The two of them are walking in the park and Syaoran saw a ball accidentally aimed towards a child. He expertly kicked the ball away. After the little encounter, Syaoran felt Sakura squeezing his sleeve with a smile on her face, with a soft whisper of, âThat was nice. I feel proud.â
While having their fieldtrip, Naoko wasnât still back at their camp site after she informed them of wandering a bit in the forest. Syaoran and Yamazaki insisted to go find her and Sakuraâs thumbs draw circles around his sleeve with worry in her eyes.
When Syaoran was flocked with girls after a piano performance with Tomoyo and Akiho, Sakuraâs soft tug on the hem of his shirt was enough to have his full attention on her. The girls saw the exchange, and they walked out with defeat.
Sakura was trying to explain something to Akiho, but lacks the knowledge in English for her to understand. She gave Syaoranâs sleeve a soft pull and the latter saved her right away.
Sakura and Syaoran are just lazily hanging out one fine afternoon, backs leaned against each other and Sakura would pinch the cloth on his shoulder when she wants to show something to Syaoran that she finds funny on her phone.
Times where they will tag along to watch Tomoyo and Akiho sing and Sakura would excitedly but softly tug on Syaoranâs shirt, a silent request for him to play the piano.
When Kero-chan opened the laptop to show a photo of Sakura sleeping with her blankets kicked off and Sakura would blush, hurriedly closing the pc and would be really shy by hiding behind Syaoran and gripping on his back.
When theyâre spending time with friends, Sakura would just clutch on his sleeve to get his attention aside from calling his name and build their own world after that.
But of course, Sakura is still using this habit when sheâs too shy to ask for something. To have an example, they passed by an ice cream shop, effectively catching green eyes and Sakura absentmidedly gripped on his sleeve. Syaoran followed her gaze and smiled softly. âYou can have one.â Sakuraâs head snapped towards him with her eyes wide, âI can?!â Syaoran laughed, getting the hand gripping his sleeve and playing with it. He smiled, âYeah, Iâll get you that.â
And yeah, how Syaoran loves all the different ways and meanings of that.
