With the new season of Bleach here I feel like its only fair that I share this meme vid I made on a whim earlier this year that I posted only on the Bleach server.

The first interactions we saw when the Visoreds returned were reunions of sorts. Shinji confronted Yamamoto. Lisa and Shunsui had a nice, loving bit. Even Hisagi saw Kensei again. But this is the first time we see one of the Visoreds interacting with somebody he knows nothing about– sure, Komamura would have been in the Court Guards 100 years ago, but we know he was not in Squad 5 with Tosen, and he probably wasn’t highly ranked enough at that point for Shinji to be familiar with him.

And philosophically, he should be the sort of person who irks Shinji– he’s a diehard Yamamoto loyalist, the sort of person who absolutely would have gone along with sentencing the Visoreds to death and enforcing their exile. But that code has a flip side, and it shows here– no matter how suspicious other Soul Reapers might find the Visoreds, Komamura is only going to judge them on their actions.
