Hey, this is Saizen from @saizen.jpg on IG, just creating a tumble to dump my photos and other things I have saved on my phone for cosplay related things. Not sure who I am talking to, but it's good to just archive and document. I started just casually cosplaying for AX 2015, teaching myself how to sew (terribly) and I've slowly been going to other cons. I've taken a basic sewing class in spring 2017, so at least I hope to show some improvement. I often staff at Blue Rose Cafe in Anime Los Angeles, and I love it! I like when customers come in and express how much they love the theme for our cafe or how much they like the face characters present. If you're ever around for this con, come visit and say hi :) I'm not trying to do anything big, I just love meeting new people and getting involved in larger cosplay groups. I make 80% of all my costumes because I am generally too broke to buy and I like the feeling of accomplishment after completing something and when people can recognize it. Now that I think about it though, it actually might be more cost effective to buy it in one lumpsum than to minimally yet continually bleed money, but ey, I did not say I was making good decisions. LOL, this is cosplay after all, sometimes we just blindly do things we really like. I don't judge bought costumes though! I can admire the great lengths people go to to portray the character and often, we all have our talents maybe in other areas (i.e. wig styling, prop making, etc.). I know I'm freaking terrible at prop making. Who knows if I'll actually keep up with this thing, but ey.... photo. dump.
