Damn, you come out swinging, Sketches. That’s not an easy one with so many good ones out there, but I'll try.

Bulma: By all means she shouldn’t have been a very original character. A genius billionaire looking for adventure - how often do you hear that? But Bulma is so very flawed and I love that about her. She's temperamental, selfish and makes incredibly stupid decisions sometimes. What a woman! Not to mention that she set off the events of Dragon Ball and that much of the story would fall apart without her.

Vegeta: Look, I can't separate my OTP. It goes against my nature. Vegeta was fun from the moment he stood watching Nappa take down the Z-fghters and he has evolved so much. I see many describe him as the GOAT of character development in manga and while I’m not an manga expert I believe it. Damn Toriyama for not writing romance (although he did so inadvertedly several times) because I’m desperate for a canon story about Vegebul.

Jon Sims (from The Magnus Archives): I could add almost every character from TMA, but I have to settle for Jon. He's a perfect example of a character doomed by the narrative and forces beyond his control and I love seeing him scramble his way through the horrors.

Spike (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer): Some crushes never die and this is one of mine. He was my first real character crush. What I really like about him (other than his looks and his accent) is that he's surprisingly human and his character goes against everything we know about vampires in the Buffyverse. He's funny, but also very emotionally deep and I love that.

Erik (from The Phantom of the Opera): I debated a lot who to add for the last one and I probably forgot someone important, not to mention that I had to omit Hordak and Entrapta from SPOP. But I love that stupid sewer gremlin and how almost every adaptation of the book portrays him so differently. Of course my favorite is the stage version (not the 2004 movie), but I love every one of them, except the guy who hits Christine. Fuck him.

Oooh, that's a good one! The question is if musicals count? I feel like they do if I have listened to the whole album several times in full.

1. Maestro by Kaizers Orchestra: Many don't know this Norwegian band, but it's always been my favorite band and this one is without a doubt the best one. Some of the songs are deeply personal to me. Honestly I could add the first three albums to this list.

2. Rocky Horror Picture Show: Do I have to explain it? It’s a cult classic for a reason. I've been told I’m an expect at lip syncing every song flawlessly.

3. Fallen by Evanescence: I was a young, budding goth when this came out and it was everything to me! It's still perfect.

4. AM by Artic Monkeys: I’m not a big fan of every song on this album, but it's so brilliantly made that I have to add it. And Do I Wanna Know? is a masterpiece.

5. The Phantom of the Opera - Original London Cast: I was in the phandom for a reason. This is an incredible musical, but don't you dare play the movie version!
