Gaksital
addicted. Jus' sayin'.
I was waiting until i had time off from work to start it as I knew it was going to be good and I am not disappointed. Joo Won is showing an impressive acting range and has really been picking good projects to hone his skills since 'Baker King'. He does seem to pick the 'mean-guy-who-is-actually-tormented-on-the-inside' role, but those roles are not easy to carry off so well, so props to him!
As an aside. It seems like I can't tidy my room without watching/listening to Dr. Who. That's the only excuse I have for buying season's 3 and 4.
on set...
was lucky enough to get to go on set for the 47 ronin reshoots for 2 days.
I loved every minute of it and really hope the next film along will allow me to do that again.
we do, as part of our vfx job, sign Non-disclosure agreements to say we can't talk about specifics, so I can't tell you what or who I saw (even though i really really want to!)
I can say though that the set looked awesome, the actors work really hard, there is lot of standing around and free food and everyone is super friendly, and i made friends with one of the stand-ins and went for lunch on Saturday with them, (a lovely Japanese American born in Texas).
edit: the new friend is a gal and no it wasn't a date
I meant to come back, I really did. Then work got busy. My boss asked me to take a training course that involved me reading college textbooks and articles. I pulled two all-nighters in the final week of the training. I felt like I was going to die. The course, of course, was amazing, and probably...
I tend to lurk rather than comment a whole lot, mostly because I'm not so good at expressing myself with as much clarity as I'd like. I'll try though... : You and INP have made a pretty big difference in the way I think about a lot of things. Its a good difference as it challenges me to think more on an aspects of class, race and gender that I just wasn't exposed to before. I'm glad you came back :)
and so it begins....
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18993023 - the wrong flag .. cue the jokes in the comments about 'korea' changes and various views on its lack of importance or how it makes Britain Look Bad.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-18971686 - but seeing as we can't even get a welcome banner right thanks to a designer having an inspired moment to change the font....
i'm still hoping for this...
seriously....

Finally on to level four and feeling the pain. Forgive the photo spam. I’m at a coffee shop killing time and avoiding this.
Have one of these while you wait...

German is an amazing language.
Also known as a “punchable face” in my circles.
possibly used after an ‘arigata-meiwaku’, (japanese) ... "An act someone does for you that you didn’t want to have them do and tried to avoid having them do, but they went ahead anyway, determined to do you a favour. Then things went wrong and caused you a lot of trouble, yet in the end you had to express thanks."
I think 'unwelcome favour' is the shorter version, but i think that's a little less expressive :)
Another joke I’m just not getting, perhaps?
i reblogged INP's post - got my RSS feeds messed up - I just wanted to drop by your tumblr personally but I have no idea what to say except whoever doing this obviously has a serious issue with confident intelligent women like yourself. Hope the IP is trackable.
Another joke I’m just not getting, perhaps?
Speaking of “jokes”.
This is horrible :( Is there any way you can track or block the IP?
The act of writing one takes time and quiet space, where that is the only thing you’re concentrating on. Getting a letter in the mail and coming into your house to drop your bags and sit down with a cup of coffee and just read. No blogs or Facebook or news sites in other tabs to make it feel like Just Another Thing you’re doing on your computer. Real time, sitting alone with that letter. In a way, with that person.
It feels more and more rare to find someone else who likes to write letters. I write to my friend in NY every week. Sunday morning is her and me time. Her life right now means she can't write back like she wants to and used to, but i will never quit writing to her because that's the only way I have that stops me missing her so outrageously and tells her how much i love her.

bbc radio podcasts from their season last month.
ouch..
managed to rupture my plantaris tendon walking down some stairs at the station.
That will be a good one to explain to my boss.
"Hi, I can't come into work because I can't walk"
sheesh
currently i have an icepack and can't get to the light. Am calling out to my mom to help me out, but she's on her computer and can't hear me. Probably listening to john Denver,
This is a little bit out of control.
ahh I love seeing other people's bookcases :) Its looks like a really nice sturdy one, I can see why you were so pleased with it :)

I have a feeling I wanted to live in a library when I was a kid.
"She represented prostitutes without pay, the first public defender of women. She handled more than 2,000 cases of prostitution. Her efforts led courts to permit the testimony of both men and women."

There was a mini bio on the TV on her tonight as part of a Prohibition program.
I love history, especially when it reveals to us new heroines.

no..no..no... wtf is that all about *horrified* does someone hate him that much they allowed this shit to be written by him and released on an album? Is this normal for US mainstream music? (i really need to know cos i don't usually listen to it)
Days you really hope its some sort of trolling....
I'm sure that will make for an awesome festive season...
Santa... you know you got it coming....
