I messaged Karina aka aniraklova at around 3am today (6/29), after coming across her BC. It was on my dash, and I immediately noticed that her portrayal of her bachelorette, Francisca, a Spanish woman, is a caricature, based on what the media would portray, as hot-headed, emotional, and jealous.Ā
Unless Iām mistaken, this isnāt something a Spanish speaking person would say, and itās straight from google translate (I checked.)
The casual use of a native tongue is, again, unless Iām mistaken, not something bilingual people do.Ā
Using spicy to describe a Spanish woman????
Prone to mood swings, so emotional. Goes hand in hand with how media portrays Spanish women as emotional and emotionally reckless women.
See above. (Also the abundant use of red is justā¦. ick. Also a stereotype.)
Of course, thatās just parts of the post. Thereās more to it, but I canāt include every single little detail, otherwise this would take 3 hours to read. So Iām just focusing on the bigger issues.

Again, use of the word spicy. Thereās so many other words you could use to describe something like that, yet your default is spicy? Itās also worth noting that the word spicy only seems to appear on that blog when in reference to Francisca whichā¦. ew. It reads like a white man trying to hit on a Hispanic/Latina woman in a bar when she clearly has no interest.Ā
You can also just go throughĀ this tagĀ and see plenty of other examples of Karina being gross about this. Francisca is literally just the white manās fetishized dream of what a Spanish woman should be.Ā
So, I messaged her because I canāt just let this sit. For the record, I am half Mexican. I am not as knowledgeable of my culture as I should be (for various personal reasons), and I recognize that Spanish culture and Mexican culture are not the exact same. However, there are enough similarities that I know when itās not being done justice. (Also, the times on the top of the screenshots donāt match up because I didnāt think to take screenshots of the first message when I initially sent it, so I had to go back.)
This was my message. I did my best to make it as polite as I could, because I wanted to give Karina the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she really didnāt know what she was doing. And then I woke up to see these messages.Ā
I wonāt say much, because everything I felt about this was said in my response. However I will say this. Karina has a victim complex. This is not the first time sheās done this. Iāve seen a couple other instances where she has done something similar, the main ones beingĀ this postĀ (which Iāve web archived here, just in case),Ā this postĀ (with the screenshot below included), andĀ this one, also with screenshot included. While itās not necessarily relevant to the issue at hand, it is relevant to her behavior and shows just how strong the victim complex is.Ā
Sheās coddled by many of her followers, most of them excusing her behavior. Instead of acknowledging what the first anon said, especially considering if one person took it that way, then others probably did as well. If her intentions werenāt to disrespect those who had already submitted, why not apologize? But I digress.
To which she responded by blocking me.
Iām sorry, but blocking me isnāt going to make this issue go away. Sheās appropriating the romantic parts of a culture, ignoring every and any issue Spanish women have gone through. Next time, instead of arguing with and then blocking someone who has something valid to say, maybe hear them out.
