the backlash to NFTs from petit bourgeois internet artists and their cohort seems to have been very effective at staving off what i hope is an inevitable revelation - that all the things we (rightfully) made fun of NFTs for apply to all freelance digital artists, right down to expecting people to pay exorbitant amounts of money for the right to... draw someone else's original character (and the willingness to sic a hate mob or the Actual Real Life Police on people who broke the borderline unenforcible contracts)
