I’ve learnt a few things from this independent project, but most of all, I learnt that I can come up with an idea for something quite cool (in my opinion anyway) out of somewhere completely random. I really enjoyed the process of this task. I think each stage was relevant to the final product and it was exciting coming up with new ideas. 

I definitely think this poster will get people thinking about what it means, as at first it may seem quite obvious, but it can spark a deeper meaning in some people.

My goal for this project was to create a poster to remind people that music has always been there and will always be. The concept of this poster was to form a juxtaposition between old and new. I wanted it to involve something musical because I LOVE music. So, I decided the old element would be a cassette tape and the new element would be a robot. Therefore, I created a robot cassette tape, wearing a button down shirt.

I printed and hand cut out the clothing and stuck it onto the page. I want to have a collage feel for this poster, and I think this adds a cute touch to it.

Here I created some clothing for the robot tape guy.

Chosen photo to work with. I’ve decided to create a poster, using this image but adapting it to look like a little robot.

I’m thinking ill add in some hand drawn elements onto this too.
