i miss the innocence of loving someone without the constant fear

I’m slowly learning that even if I react, it won’t change anything. It won’t make certain people suddenly, understand & respect you, it won’t magically change their minds. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing & remove yourself from them.

People know exactly what they're doing, so keep that in mind

i'm trying my hardest to not act how i feel

social media has really warped our perception of creativity and hobbies. Stop doing things to post them. Just write. Just journal. Just sketch. Just read. Just annotate. Just sing. Just crochet. Just do the thing you’re going to do with the assumption no one will ever see or know you did it. Stop performing. Just enjoy it.

don't break yourself to fix someone else
