「ᴛᴏɢᴇᴛʜᴇʀ」

                                “I…I want…”

                                 Clearly flustered, his gaze dropped and lifted a few times before                                    locking on the mirroring green one pointed at him.

                                “I want….to be a couple. O-Officially.”

                                 Well, there that was. It could have ended there, but, much like it                                      usually was with Haruka, once the dam cracked, there was a                                          flood.

                                "I want to call you my boyfriend. I want people…people to know                                   that we’re together. And I want to take you out to nice places                                       and things like that.”

    Weren't they officially a couple? What did that entail? That was     marriage wasn't it? Lips parted to voice such thoughts, but      Haru beat him to it and spoke more.

    And there was the kicker.     Makoto was taken aback, sure, but he was happy. Very happy!     So happy that he felt a heavy weight set behind his eyes -- Oh,     God, no! He was not going to cry about this. No matter how great     it was - he owed Haru a reply. 

    Lips parted.     Then shut.     Then parted and a small reply tumbled out.

       "That -- I -- Yes! I want that too! I want that --"

Doesn’t understand why Makoto moved away, nor why the air just became so tense between them. So he steps back up to him and makes sure to take his hand.

"Thinking about….this. Us."

They’d never put a name to what had changed between them. At least, not officially. 

He’d decided that needed to change.

"We aren’t…We never really. Became……official?"

A pause, a light blush took a spot on his cheeks.

"I want to…"

Well, here goes nothing.

"I was….I was thinking—"

Nope, that was bad.

"There’s something…"

Nah.

"It’s important."

Nuzzles securely into the crook of the brunet’s neck

He had to say it.
