rocco’s father, benito mancini and his mother, ENTER NAME HERE met after carrying on an affair for several months. his mother divorced her current husband and married benito. he is the eldest of two sons between benito and NAME.

he is half brother to MASON GIORDANO, they grew up together until their mother lost custody of mason and mason moved to live with his grandmother. rocco has always viewed this as personal slight and as a result is not a big fan of his older brother. in fact, rocco goes out of his way to piss off mason

rocco’s father, benito, was an extremely wealthy real estate mogul. his net worth pushed well over 250 million dollars.

he was the favored son of his father and his mother, and the extra attention he got from his parents further divided him from both of his brothers. 

when rocco was nineteen, his mother died during a drunk driving accident. his mother was an alcoholic for many years and failed rehab many times.

the tragic and sudden death of his mother shocked benito to the core and he committed suicide just short of six months after the accident. 

being the oldest son of benito, rocco inherited his father’s fortune.

he doesn’t work, is entitled as fuck over the fact he doesn’t need to and spends money just for the fun of it. he moved to augusta primarily to get under mason’s skin.

the death of his parents really affected rocco in ways that aren’t surface deep. he’s extremely cut off emotionally and hides behind his cockiness.

shortly after the death of both of his parents, rocco was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. his moods are extremely unpredictable and he suffers from extreme highs and lows. he has a tendency to not take his medicine, either.

he’s an entitled rich kid who never got any real direction or guidance. his mother coddled him and spoiled him and his father shaped him into a carbon copy of himself.

he has a tendency to be an asshole --- he enjoys pissing people off, pushing their buttons. of course, he always acts innocent and offended whenever his bad behavior is called out.

after mason’s abandonment at age ten and the traumatic death of his parents, rocco has extremely abandonment issues. instead of clinging onto people, he keeps them at bay. he’s purposefully cold. he’s absolutely terrified of being alone and it shows by his constant need to have people around him, even though the relationships tend to lack any real depth.

i pull major influences from spike from buffy the vampire slayer, dennis reynolds from it’s always sunny in philadelphia, and chandler bing from friends in his overall characterization. 

rocco loves a party and is known to throw huge bashes at his mansion. he drinks, he does drugs. he sleeps around. he doesn’t really take care of his health, period. he doesn’t care. 

when he goes through depressive states it’s not uncommon to not hear from rocco for weeks
