Iâll put the Coffee on || Adam and Daisy
Daisy could hear the soft sound of birds outside something she was becoming used to in her home in royal slowly, nothing like her more uban concrete jungle home in London the past few years. Her eyes still shut sleep still taking hold of her body in a big way but slowly lifting. After a moment she realised she wasnât in the comfort of her bed, her pillow was hard and there was no sheet over her. She shifted slightly and felt someone next to her realisation hitting her, she turned slightly to look at the familiar face lay behind her letting out a chuckle, before looking at the empty glasses on the coffee table, bowl of half eaten popcorn, Guess they didnât make it all the way through the film marathon like they hoped they would.
She made her way to the coffee machine preparing it before smiling as Kimiko came over to her in high spirits, âHungryâ she smiled as she quickly emptied a can into the dog bowl, she asked her to sit smiling as she did and stroking her head followed with a kiss to the soft fur on the top of her head as she placed the bowl down for the dog. âEat up pretty girlâ She chuckled as she made her way back to Adam placing one coffee cup on the table before starting to wave the other under the sleeping mans nose as she sat on the small bit of sofa not taken up by him. âWake upâ She said before taking a sip from the cup smiling as she waited for him to stir not even sure if he was even still asleep or just playing so to humour her.
The first thing that awoken Adamâs senses was the smell of fresh coffee, tickling his nostrils. After all, he was a New Yorker at heart, and that was definitely one of the stereotypes that he could get behind â coffee before anything else. He could feel some weight on his lap, and he was quick to figure out that it was his own beloved Moose, snoozing the morning away. The two of them certainly had that in common. With his eyes still closed, Adam gave his dog a light scratch at the top of his head, just behind his ears, and could feel the animal stretch in content.Â
Adam had half a mind to wrap his arms around Joanne and wish her good morning⌠But he stopped himself, just in time, to realise that despite such a familiar smell in the air and a gentle whisper next to his ear, things werenât the same as they used to be. The actor finally opened one eye, sleepily, and felt his heart swell at the sigh in front of him. So⌠it was indeed true, and he didnât just dream about the fact that one of the most important people in his life had moved to Royal and will now be so much closer than before. He smiled at Daisy and let out a suppressed yawn, before peeling himself off of the back of the couch and reaching for his own mug of coffee waiting on the table. âIâll have you know, I lasted longer than you in this marathon last night. I still canât believe you fell asleep before the waltz scene!,â Adam teased Daisy with a playful nudge at her side.
Daisy felt true amusement and joy watching Adam snuggle up to Moose. The love that man had for his dog was adorable and one of the many reasons Daisy loved being around him, the way dogs react to people always said a lot about the person. She sat on the floor in front of the sofa with her legs crossed as she looked at the tall man currently sprawled on her sofa in her new home after a really fun night chilling together and watching their favouite trilogy, hopefully no one would tell Disney that little bit of truth.Â
Daisy lifted the cup to her lips a smile spreading further as he reached for his own and sat up for a moment she felt like a child looking up to her teacher as she waited for the register to be read out, she let out a chuckle and moved to sit by him instead,âI had to move i felt like you were about to tell me off for giggle to my friend while you taught a lesson.â She teased resting her forehead on his broad shoulder laughing. âLook laugh all you like about me falling asleep but I have only just moved and have some jet lag, i was living 5 hours behind before nowâ She grinned.Â
