Daisy Ridley

Daisy could hear the soft sound of birds outside something she was becoming used to in her home in royal slowly, nothing like her more uban concrete jungle home in London the past few years. Her eyes still shut sleep still taking hold of her body in a big way but slowly lifting. After a moment she realised she wasn’t in the comfort of her bed, her pillow was hard and there was  no sheet over her. She shifted slightly and felt someone next to her realisation hitting her, she turned slightly to look at the familiar face lay behind her letting out a chuckle, before looking at the empty glasses on the coffee table, bowl of half eaten popcorn, Guess they didn’t make it all the way through the film marathon like they hoped they would.

She made her way to the coffee machine preparing it before smiling as Kimiko came over to her in high spirits, “Hungry” she smiled as she quickly emptied a can into the dog bowl, she asked her to sit smiling as she did and stroking her head followed with a kiss to the soft fur on the top of her head as she placed the bowl down for the dog. “Eat up pretty girl” She chuckled as she made her way back to Adam placing one coffee cup on the table before starting to wave the other under the sleeping mans nose as she sat on the small bit of sofa not taken up by him. “Wake up” She said before taking a sip from the cup smiling as she waited for him to stir not even sure if he was even still asleep or just playing so to humour her.

It’s all right, I’m here to stop you once I can’t follow anymore. I have no clue whether it’s ever allowed to keep foxes, since they’re endangered in some areas, but I feel like you’d have realised it by now. Cat-like dogs? Aw man, that sounds like you are lucky not to get a too muddy dog, ever. We used to have cats as a kid, but… I’m kinda allergic to them now. 

I have no doubt they would be fast friends. I mean, the size difference didn’t stop us from bonding, right? I have a feeling they’re going to get along like a house on fire.. but without the actual fire, of course. A lot of things in my home is made of wood, we don’t want any fires starting any time soon. My library is very important to me. They used to call me a Sasquatch in high-school for a reason, I know I’m freakishly tall… which is why I probably would be able to fit you in my pocket. Or one of those carriers you strap on the back for infants and toddlers. Thank you. I’m trying, I really am. It means so much to me to see the work I’m putting in actually paying off. It’s an incredibly rewarding feeling. And I can only thank all of the amazing people who helped me along the way and volunteered to take time off their day to join me in this journey. Which reminds me… when are you going to come with us? There’s no running away from me or AITAF, not anymore. Of course the pups will be at our feet… if not in our lap. You know hwo Moose can be, especially when you’re around. Well, I think the main reason Keanu’s age is showing these days is because he shaved for the Bill & Ted sequel. Which is also the same reason why I will never shave again. Just to put it out there. 

I’m sorry. I know I should’ve reached out, but I guess I was worried… and you know how I over-think things sometimes. With all of this pandemic thing popping up, I didn’t want to bother you with any more problems, especially at such crazy hours of the night. Not that I got much sleep myself in the last week or so, but that doesn’t matter anymore. I’m really glad to have you here, honestly. I really missed you.

This is true because you’re stupidely big, at least moose isn’t a bullmastif or something he’s still pretty standard sized. But no the size difference never affected us other than maybe neck pain looking up or down at each other. No i’m kidding i’m tall enough for us not to have dealt with that. Have you been taking after harrsion and edging to capentery or have you just been buying nice wooden furniture? I’m amused slightly by that but not suprised teens would have thought they were really clever coming up with something like that as apposed to anything else, I mean it could have been BFG, Green Giant, or anything else, Hagrid even if you had the long hair back then which i know you didn’t in high school so you avoided that one. I sewear to god i did not need an image of you carrying me around like a toddler in one of those harnesses and i will be working hard at trying to erase it from my mind now thank you very much. Well i think we can organise that some time especially now i’m not an ocean away let me know when you need me and i’ll get myself freed up to do some AITAF things, be it readings or a short play or whatever you want me for. I’d love to help. That boy does not know his weight but in a way i like it because when he jumps on my lap it’s like he’s a weighted blanket or something which are really calming. Who would have thought, when you’re young shaving gives people a baby face and now he’s the age he is it’s making him look older, what age do you think that shift happens because I’m very intrigued now.

No thank God it was not poisonous just hungry for our chicken eggs. He relocated to a safe area away from our farm so here's hoping. Oh yes I mean I did lol like a complete idiot flailing about but once I got the hang of it, I enjoyed it very much.

Oh no did they manage to get many eggs? If so i hope it was just ones that were going to be your breakfast and not ones that were going to be chicks. i’ll be honest i have no idea how that all works i’m vegan and never looked into the difference between eggs you eat and chickens reproducing. Can you tell i grew up in a city not in the country side.See now there is no way other than up with your experience with and who knows by the end of the summer you may be the one who’s at a point of looking at the newbies and giggling though if said newbie is me and i decided to give it a go please go easy on me

I didn’t know either, but then Scott, my boyfriend’s brother, came in with his arms full of ingredients, and that was it - we were having s’mores. They’re mighty good, too, so I cannot blame them. And those national days… I always forget about them until the day of. Come by, if you want some. 

See  now that is how people in your life should be seeing things and choosing to make it fun for everyone in their life i love this and i approve of your boyfriends brothers actiions. I would love to it’s been years since i had smores and i don’t think i’ve even had authentic smores because we don’t have the same kind of crackers in the UK, what better way of coming to live in america than starting with a traditional fun night

That’s it. If not for me, you have to bring your lovely lady for Moose. You know, so they could bond over being rescues and all that. She sounds like an absolute sweetheart, just like her human-Mum. I guess the reason why I didn’t even flinch is because you’re so tiny. I mean… come on. You have have all the dark streaks and combat training you can get, Cottontail, but you’re still tiny enough for me to carry in my pocket… and I love it. Julliard training is an art form in on itself, I suppose. It helped me through a lot of issues, so the least I can do is offer all that I’ve learned to others… and I think I am doing a damn decent job with that. Most of the time. Listen, I don’t know about you, but the passing out on the couch to a Linklater film, a glass of cheap boxed wine and good company is a night well spent in my book. Well, damn, Daise. I know I ain’t no Ethan Hawke, but some people have told me I look like Keanu Reeves. Would that work for you, too, or..?

I know, I know. I didn’t mean to sink back into this, but sometimes it just can’t be helped. You know how it is. I don’t think we should worry about that any time soon, especially since my little torchbug is in town to light up all the dark thoughts that would dare to creep in… right?

Well now it has to happen because even with the size diffence i feel like moose and kumiko will get on really well, she will just be loving all the attention. Ey i can throw something of a punch even if my hands aren’t as big as yours sometimes a smaller circumrance makes it even workse it’s like a needle jab. And i would not fit in your pocket i’m not that small I’m actually above average for a woman slightly you’re just stupidly dtupidly big. Besides i’ve dealt with the fire man hold from you i know you can carry me about easily.You are doing amazingly at it be it with friends or with your charity you deffintely are a giving person. I like the sound of that for sure as long as we add in sleepy pups passed out on the floor too. Mmmm i guess i could settle for that but lets be honest now shall we Keanu as much as their were all those immortal vampire rumours flying around which in all honesty i bought into for a while because some of those paintings and such from the past were a little creepy, he’s starting to show his age now and you sir are just getting better with age fine wine not boxed one in your case.

I remember when Moose was just a puppy and it’s all too familiar. There’s something about dogs enjoying soaking in all the affection they can get. I mean, Moose is far from a puppy now, but he would still allow somebody to break into my apartment as long as they give him belly rubs. Darling, I’ve seen your dark streak and your combat skills. I’ve been on the receiving end of those, remember? I think I can handle it. Well, I’m always excited to introduce people to things that I enjoy watching. It just so lucked out that our tastes are fairly similar. Does that mean we’re due for another Richard Linklater marathon? I think it’s been awhile since we had one of those. How about we just skip that question all together and let’s just both be happy that I won’t have to be in that state anymore, alright?

Oh well she isn’t a puppy i think it’s just the whole she’s a rescue and went a while without that one loving owner after she was brought in. She’s exactly like him in that way i they said she was seven when i got her and she’s a bit of a madamn at time but the one thing that iss for sure is she will always accept cuddles. I know and i’ve wacked you a good few times and you’ve barely flinched you’re too big to be threatened by me even with anything combat wise i learn. We did besides i think you also expanded mine a bit and helped me some of the ture art of some films that i hadn’t before. That damn Julliard training. You always know when best to bring out those films i’m behnd us having another binge but you knwo this either means we have to start early or we have to accept maybe passing out on the sofa after they finish. You also know full well how much those films made me question any potential relationship since we first watched them and are probably a big reason i’ve been single for years i want my ethan hawke okay. Well then i better stick around and keep you uplifted  bit more cause you can’t start sinking into yourself i won’t allow it.

Okay, we’ll search for them first, because that way, we’ll have a little more fun unpacking. Aw, come on - put the music on, turn it loud, and we’ll have ourselves a dance party. And then, we’ll probably migrate to the couch sometime. You are very pragmatic about these things - I love my knick-knacks, and I put them all up eventually. I don’t think anyone saw that rain coming, hun. We were all surprised by it.

See this is the way it should be done right we have our priorities straight how better to handle a move than not at all but instead drink some good wine and have some laughs. I have a god few nick knacks i just make sure they are really meaningful ones, i still have my old dogs collar i never manages to part with it and i keep it on a hook by the door. But in all seriousness there is only a couple boxes left i didn’t pack much i did a big clear out before coming over hear, so it won’t take very long to unpack the bits left at all most the evening will be drinking chatting and maybe finding something good to watch or if all else fails we can watch mamma mia and sing along
