REX POST-DEVIANCY META
Because Rex deviates while in the care of Hank, Connor, Nines, Gavin, Chris, and Tina, much of her personality is shaped by all of them. After escaping from the bunker, she is kept at Central Station as evidence in the illegal android manufacturing case, so she knows next to nothing about the outside world, and there are restrictions in her system preventing her from learning at the same speed as Connor or Nines. She can't interface with any other androids, she cannot access any databases or the internet from her own system, and she has zero context for her situation. Rex relies on DPD to guide her. They give her a television to watch, books to read, and music to listen to. Hank brings Sumo in, Connor shows her his fish tank, Gavin and Nines show her pictures of their cats. She listens to the way they speak to each other and learns about their lives, including how Gavin and Nines are dating and how Tina is dating the ST300 on reception called 'Steph'.
When she does finally deviate, Rex shows everyone that, despite being built to commit harrowing acts of terrorism and treason, she is actually a lovable weirdo who loves the world and all it has to offer. Yes, she can hit a target with a sniper rifle from 5,000 metres and snap a man's neck with ease, but she also volunteers at the local animal shelter, enjoys driving her cruiser around while playing the Imperial March on the speaker system (because it's hilarious), gives the most thoughtful, unique gifts, and swears like a trucker.
Rex also has a lot of things in common with Connor, whom she views as an older brother (Nines, too). Unfortunately for Hank, this means that they are twice as bad together. They have probably compiled a list of things they want to do, and Hank knows he's going to get roped into all of them. There's probably at least one road trip on the list. They definitely want to see Knights of the Black Death live and visit every aquarium and zoo in the country. Don't forget museums, art galleries, hockey games (because Gavin likes Hockey), and dog parks. Rex will lead the effort to completely cover Hank's house in Christmas lights and will be skittering all over the roof at 10 PM.
In short, Hank's house is never quiet anymore.
