“Um…”
Yuka thought about her next course of action for a moment. She didn’t want this girl to see her, OR any nurse for that matter. She could handle whatever was thrown her way, no sweat! But…her recently broken nose WAS throbbing and the offer of ice was just too enticing.
“Um…ice would be good I guess.”
Yuka decided to slowly get up and just face away from her fellow student. While her prior position had been one of the most uncomfortable ones she’d ever been in, she also wanted to check her nose. If she had to set it AGAIN she would be majorly pissed.
The only explanation for why this girl was so hesitant to get up was that she was embarrassed, and she didn’t want anyone to see her after she had tripped and fallen on her face–and it made perfect sense to Shiori, who didn’t try to question it at all even if she was still a bit confused. She wasn’t going to force her to get up or do anything, so when she began to move on her own she was careful to look away a bit after catching a glimpse of her face and what looked to be a broken nose–her injuries were definitely more serious than she had claimed, then. She had best hurry before things became even worse…
“Um, alright…I’ll go get some, then,” she nodded, trying to avoid staring at the girl as she stood up, ready to go and ready to help. However, her paperwork still weighed heavily on her mind so she went back over to her computer and saved the documents, closing them before coming back to her side. “I’ll try to be as fast as I can, so please, wait here…don’t try to move too much if anything hurts, and please let me know if you need anything else…”
And with that, she went off to the nurse’s office, unable to ignore the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. She would be alright, wouldn’t she?
Yuka nodded at what Shiori said before hearing her walk off to get a pack of ice. She then let out the breath she’d been holding. Today was turning out to be the most stressful day of her first week at this school. How had she gotten tangled up in a fight and then someone who probably knew her relation to those crimes she’d commited? Damn her curiosity!
The skater sighed and felt her nose again, realizing that it was bleeding now. “Oh great...what do I do about this?” She rummaged around in her pockets for anything that could be used as a tissue. Much to her relief, she found and pulled out a napkin. “Maybe that girl won’t notice...” Yuka murmured to herself while dabbing her blood away. She didn’t need even more trouble on top of all of this.
