When Henry gets a new portrait

“I miss you,” Alex says before he can stop himself. He instantly regrets it, but Henry says, “I miss you too.”

Nora: Anyway I did commit a smidge of treason.

Henry: [unenthusiastically] Stop. Bad dog. No.

Alex: Fine. I will behave.

Zahra: Now throw that idea out of the window.

Ellen: I was talking to Henry

Alex: Once, I asked for water while he was pissed at me, and he brought me a glass full of ice and said “wait”.

Nora: Oh my god what have you done?

Alex: Um yeah but I promised Nora that I would be on my worst behaviour... And I gave her my word, so...

Alex and Nora both scream too, and they haul her into a six-armed hug, whooping and laughing and stomping on one another’s feet and not caring. They all end up kicking off their shoes and jumping on the bed, and Nora FaceTimes Bea, who finds Henry and Pez in one of Henry’s rooms, and they all celebrate together. It feels complete, the gang, as Cash once called them. They’ve earned their own media nickname in the wake of everything: The Super Six.
