Chasing My First Half-Marathon

I cringe at doing 3.1 miles. What in the world would want to make me run 13.1 miles?? Good question.

2013 was good. There were victories, heartbreaks, struggles, and everything in between. I’m proclaiming 2014 to be a great year. I know God has so many great things planned for me. I have an overwhelming peace knowing that in 2014, God is bringing forth a year of growth. With growth comes challenges, and with challenges comes victories. He wants to grow me spiritually, mentally, and physically.

I could chose to live 2014 comfortably and complacent, but that’s not what God calls us to do. I have some things planned in 2014 planned for spiritual growth, but I need to grow physically as well.

I’ll be using this Tumblr account to log training, struggles, and victories. I’d love for you to follow my journey and my prayer is that you’d be encourage to find challenges for yourself to allow for God to grow you!

November 16th, 2014 is my race date. I’ll be participating in the Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas with my Uncle Chad. According to my Gipis Training App on my iPhone, 2:02.30 what my estimated time would be. It won’t let me go further than June, but you’ll have a better idea what I’ll be as you follow.
