Can we keep posts that promote eating disorders -out- of the Zombies, Run! tags please? This is about health, not body abuse.
Yeah, Zombies, Run! was designed to keep people fit and healthy, not to glorify eating disorders. Eating disorders are a form of mental illness and they are harmful to your health. Would you ever encourage people to live a life that would increase their chances of getting cancer or diabetes or heart disease? Of course not, because that’s ridiculous.Â
The ZR community, and the app for the matter, encourage people to make healthier and positive choices. More importantly, it encourages you to see exercise as something that’s fun, not harmful to your body. Like ohdappledthings said, the promotion of eating disorders does not belong in a tag whose purpose is to do the exact opposite of that.Â
((I think I've said this before, I even told s2s in an email, that I've had some form of an eating disorder since I was about eight. It ruined a lot of things for me, and my friends in real life can attest to how bad it got. There's a sneaking suspicion that I have some strain of body dysmorphic disorder too. At the end of my senior year last year, it got to the point where my self-worth, esteem, and image were so bad. I did things to myself that I regret now.
Thankfully, zombies run (alongside my older sister) saved me from my worst when I felt alone and full of hatred towards everything because of a lot of personal issues and peer pressure/emotional bullying that occurred my senior year. ZR gave me a haven, a group of people who relied on my to be my healthiest outside of my sister. I could write an essay on how much ZR helped me, especially Sam's character. Anyway I began eating healthier, taking care of myself- and I'm not recovered completely, but I'm closer than I was a year ago.
Please sweetheart, you're not alone, and I'm here if you need help (my personal is aquayao) but please don't post pro-ana stuff in zombies run related areas. Pawlikethebear and ohdappledthings are right- that doesn't belong in the tags, and if you need someone to help, I'm here for you.
