Pleinair day 4.
A piece I drew inspired when I was walking in Paris. There was a huge statue of hermes on a bridge. I just needed to capture it in the Hades style! It is crazy how many Greek gods watch over this city.

if i look back, i am lost

dont care + didnt ask + you know nothing of Javert + I was born inside a jail + I was born with scum like you + I am from the gutter too
sometimes i have a dream that reveals such a humiliating desire i have that i genuinely lose a bit of respect for myself
like im okay with being medium attractive and having a moderately clean house. instagram reels just bounce off of me like water off a ducks back
i love project hail mary (and andy weir in general) so goddamn much because the overwhelming message, the one that you hear over and over again, is that it is always possible for things to get better. there is always a solution to be found. there is always someone who will help you. there are always friends, always answers, always a reason to keep going even when it seems so hopeless and terrible and lonely. and every time you hear that message you're like yeah. i know. sometimes i forget and things seem really dark. but you gotta keep going.
also there is a rock alien who's really good at science and i want him to be my friend so bad.

the government, watching me from the cameras: “the lack of motivation on this girl. incredible.”
affirmations: i am very normal. i am not trapped in a lie of my own making. everything is fine. no one will uncover my web of deceit #mywebofdeceit

Pierre Niney as Edmond Dantès in Le Comte de Monte Cristo (part one)
I love how in almost every adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo" the Abbe's last words are something like "Remember, do not let vengance consume you. Promise me you won't seek revenge. Justice is served by God" or smth like this, while in the book, the literal source material, he just goes "Find the treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. Get the money" and then dies.
This book is so unhinged, I can't even. It's pure chaos. Don't let anyone ever convince you that it's sophisticated classic literature. Dumas loved drama, schemes, adventures and dumb ironic humor.
