Veronica was beginning to think she was getting old because mindless chatter and fun on the dance floor currently happening before her eyes didn’t seem as appealing anymore. Or perhaps the brunette was so deeply affected by the events of the last party she’d attended that she couldn’t bring herself to join in on the fun and relax fully. The sense of responsibility pressing on her chest didn’t allow her to. While Veronica was delighted the majority of people she cared about was able to enjoy themselves (and their echoing laughter proved so), she felt she had to be on alert. None of it showed on the outside, however– the woman had one of her signature smiles plastered across her lips and a flute of bubbly dangling from her fingers. However, the thrill-seeker within didn’t let her sit still so the woman took a deep breath—as deep as the corset clinging onto her figure for dear life allowed and took a look around. V found she was standing beside two entrances; one to the Haunted House and the other to the Fortune Teller’s impromptu tent. Counting on her charming smile to lure the person in, she called out, letting them decide where to. “Shall we try our luck?“

Tony knew that he’d need at least a few more drinks in him before the thought of getting on the dance floor. Halloween had always been one of his favorite holidays, but that had to do more so with the horror aspects of it. Though, that hadn’t stopped him from getting a drink, whiskey neat, of course. Tony had always been an alert person, somehow able to keep his eyes in two places at once. It worked to his advantage often. Though anyone with a fair of clear eyes would’ve seen Veronica off to the side, causing Tony to make his way towards her. “We should go to the fortune teller, hear about how we’re both going to die young,” he joked, mirroring Veronica’s charming look with one of his one.

“Okay, no one panic!” No one’s panicking Aly, only you. Alyssa held out her arms as she moved around, her gaze scouring the floor and environs for her headpiece. She really only brought it along to take photos with, and once she had done that, Alyssa rest it down in an area that she thought it would be safe. In hindsight she should not have been lazy, and took the time to carry it back to the vehicle for storage. It certainly wasn’t cheap, her entire costume was a cosplayer’s dream. Even though her sister sponsored the entire thing, Alyssa would feel horrible if she lost it. After-all, the night was only just getting started. Sighing in annoyance she silently berated herself. Why didn’t I listen to the voice of reason? “I can’t find my crown of horns.” The dark-haired villain would tell anyone within earshot. Gnawing anxiously at her bottom lip, she paced, and made a beeline around the area, searching. Where did it go? “It was just here like five minutes ago.” Okay, she was lying, it was more like an hour or so ago. She only just remembered she left it behind to go dance. They were basically antler-esque, who would take them and run-off? Were there desperate cosplayers in attendance? “Has anyone seen it? It’s an eye-mask and cap combined, with a bunch of large antler-like horns coming out of it.” Alyssa explained her lost item in case people didn’t get that she was portraying MCU’s Hela.   

“Your crown of horns.” Tony hadn’t gotten a good look at her yet, not quite understanding what exactly she’d meant, until he saw her costume. “Oh, that crown of horns. I’m sure we can find it.” They probably couldn’t. The party had had people coming in and out every 2 minutes, anything left behind was likely to have been gone by now. Though, he wasn’t exactly going to say that outloud, the girl in front of him seemed upset enough. “Maybe someone knocked them over.” He glanced underneath the table, brows raising as he found a piece of what looked like a piece of a broken horn. Picking it up off the ground, he shifted his gaze back to her, “I think... this may belong to you.” Tony sheepishly grinned, his London accent shining through as he spoke again, “Sorry. For what it’s worth though, I think you look lovely without them anyways.”
