I'm grabbing you by the shoulders and telling you this in the nicest way possible as someone who has struggled with people pleasing. People are going to hate you. People are going to leave you, and maybe you'll even leave them. You have to be okay with that.

You could know someone for years. Draw things for them, share personal moments with them, give them the benefit of the doubt after something happened that didn't really involve you and you'd wake up to find yourself suddenly blocked after expressing enthusiasm over a shared subject sheerly due to association. I speak from experience. And I'm okay with that. You know why?

There are 12 billion people on this Earth and for every individual that hates you there's a dozen more that will love you. Not everyone is going to get along. Not everyone is going to stay.

Mastering the art of letting go and walking away is truly the best thing you can do for yourself. If Tronald Dump and Elongated Muskrat can still have bootlickers after everything they've done then it Truly does not matter. And that's no excuse to be narcissistic. Be kind always, make compromises, but also stand firm on your boundaries and beliefs. What I AM saying though is the garbage takes itself out anyway.
