This night was like many before. Sat alone at your apartment, lying on the sofa with a blanket and the TV playing a romantic movie, a tub of ice cream half empty sat on your coffee table. This wasn’t the night you had planned, you and your boyfriend, Trevor, had agreed to meet at your favourite restaurant for a date night. He was always busy and you found it difficult to arrange a time and date to see each other because of it, so as soon as he told you he wasn’t doing anything tonight you had arranged your date. At this moment in time you should be drinking wine out of slim glasses, nibbling on small appetisers while you wait for you deserts to be brought after an amazing meal, laughing and holding hands with Trevor across the table. But instead, an hour ago you stood outside the restaurant and had been for 30 minutes before you gave up waiting and came home. No texts, no calls, nothing.
