Y'all who format the heck out of your posts to the point where you can't read it and the flow of the writing is interrupted -- You need to calm the hell down and actually look at what you're writing. What's the point of doing it like that if it's barely understandable? I'd take an unformatted post with good rhythm and logical emphasizing over unreadable gibberish any day.

in my opinion, positivity blogs can be just as harmful as burn blogs - it'd be one thing to send the love directly to the blog it's aimed at, but when i see those blogs, i'm never ever in them, and it's kind of upsetting. like, sure, i've never been on a burn book blog, so i'm good enough to avoid that, but am i just mediocre enough to not be in a positivity blog?

Whats your opinion about burnbooks?

I have always told myself that I wouldn’t voice my personal opinions here but I feel as if burnbooks are a serious issue. A lot of roleplayers believe that “talk” or “confession” blogs are toxic and most of them are right for various reasons. One of them being that many of these blogs openly allow other roleplayers to anonymously target each other. I know that many people are sensitive to the opinions and confessions that are posted here. I am not blind to the comments that people post on their own blogs about things that are posted here and sometimes I think that I may also be contributing to the negativity in the community. On the flip side, I believe that by allowing everyone to address these problems I open an opportunity to try to fix them. For example, when many people were submitting confessions about feeling singled out by “selective” roleplayers, many other roleplayers welcomed those roleplayers to contact them.

I think that many of us here can agree that publicly targeting other roleplayers anonymously and through a third-person blog is vicious and cruel. Everybody needs to think twice before submitting another’s name to a burnbook and imagine how they would feel if they were being publicly ridiculed and humiliated. The roleplay community as whole (this is including indie, 1x1, groups, etc.) needs a serious dose of reality. Burnbooks or “talk” blogs that allow roleplayers to hurt other roleplayers are completely immature and are basically just producers of cyber-bullying on a large scale.
