I specifically picked out one REAL person that I've allowed myself to text constantly, with no restraints. Each day, I also allow myself one surprise contact that can only last an hour, assuming the responses are immediate. I can't have two. Meaning, if someone reaches out to me, I'm able to talk to them for only an hour before the end of the line goes static. One a day, not two (aside from the specially picked person).

Additionally, I have scheduled four emails, all to my high school teachers. One has been responded to: I requested to make plans to get coffee, asking if they were willing. The teacher responded with "for sure," and I haven't replied in three days.

To another teacher, I emailed a photo of a cigarette with his name on it, half zmoked, and was left on seen. One responded positively...the other, not so much. Funnily enough, the lack of response is what pushed me to fully teeter into self isolation.

Fast forward 23 years, and now I'm the guy who plays the background character in every New York coming of age movie. You know the one..the main character is running late to meet their Italian uncle, accidentally bumps into me on the sidewalk, and I yell, "Watch it!" in a thick New York accent.
