Trust me when I say that while I know it’s wrong, I did it for a good reason.” Eirik explained, not looking at her but at his hand, knuckles starting to turn purple. “Yeah…” You are his favourite. “I didn’t do it because he is bad, I did it cause it hurt me and I was pissed off.” He explained with a shrug. “Besides, it’s what he wanted. For me to fight my own battles or whatever.”
“Hmm are you…angry with me? Because I feel like you are and…how can I fix it? I get if you don’t want to talk about what happened or…we can totally talk about it. Eirik, I don’t want things to be weird with you, I mean between us.”
“I’m not mad at you just...” He frowned, kicking a can on the floor with more force than necessary. “I’m mad at myself. I don’t know.” He sighed, looking up. “Just like that...” He said, snapping his fingers. “Everything is fine. And he didn’t apologise for what he said. And it doesn’t feel like he understood.” He said simply, looking down at Marie. “It’s complicated, I guess. I don’t know. But I’m not mad at you.”

“Thank you too.” She hugged him tight and then headed to the door with Eirik, waving goodbye to her brother.
Once outside the building she looked at Eirik and sighed. “I’m sorry for saying those things, you are right…I don’t understand many things and you had your reasons. It’s just that… dad is always so good to me.”
