âKissing Doesnât Killâ (Black and white postcard) from 1980âs ACT UP campaign for HIV/AIDS awareness.
This is the banner that was put up on buses to create awareness! a lot of companies cropped out the bottom so I thought it would be cool to share the full version

me: (internally) oscar wilde was right
in reference to this quote (tho he was also just right in general)
I respect fashion as an art form, but despise it as a consumer culture. That hypebeast mentality of âas long as it costs a lot, itâs fashionableâ makes people like shit they would think is dumb as hell if there was no social value to liking it.

Ah yes, the sexualities: straight, confused, i donât have to tell you, what are you, a cop? Fuck off, and More â˘
"It doesn't go away, that feeling that you shouldn't take me that seriously. What do I know?" Michelle Obama said.
âI have been at probably every powerful table that you can think of, I have worked at nonprofits, I have been at foundations, I have worked in corporations, served on corporate boards, I have been at G-summits, I have sat in at the U.N.: They are not that smart.â
Iâve only had one boss who was smarter than me and she was an Afro-Latina. The overwhelming mediocrity of all the white men Iâve had above me telling me what to do actually makes me itch.

Where else can you experience this kind of journey in 20 words?
âImagine a woman in the long skirts and high collar of the early 20th century standing in front of the painting she created. It is a massive pieceâabout 10 feet tall by 8 feet wideâand it is not a landscape, a portrait, a still life, nor a scene from myth or history. Dominating the composition is a bold yellow form reminiscent of a plant or sea creature, glowing amid colorful, biomorphic shapes and vigorous lines. This is just one of 10 such works that she has created almost entirely aloneâsometimes walking on her work as she lays down the paintâand one of 193 radically abstract paintings that she has made in a few short years, between 1906 and 1915. None of these details fit with the story told in museums and art history courses. We know the first abstract painters so well that we often refer to them by last names alone: Kandinsky, Malevich, Mondrian. We know who is celebrated for doing âaction paintingâ on giant canvases laid on the floorâPollock. Each of these men has been lauded for opening a way into new territory. As it turns out, that territory had already been explored by another artist. Her name was Hilma af Klint.â

if youve never physically been in the presence of like, a real live wolf, and you probably wont get the chance to, heres some stuff about them you should know
a wolfâs fur is so unbelievably thick that you can get like, your whole hand into it while petting. and then you can keep going
wolves are a lot bigger than you think they are. think about how big you think a wolf is then just like double that
they dont really smell like dog but they DO smell and youre not going to be able to figure out if its a good smell or not
a wolf really wants to lick the inside of your mouth. he will not stop trying to lick the inside of your mouth at any cost, and generally speaking you need to press your lips together kind of tightly when he approaches your face so that he doesnt worm his damn tongue in there to give you what he thinks is an appropriate greeting
a wolf doesnt really want to look at you while you pet him but he wants you to pet him. hes embarrassed
if a grown ass wolf decides to lay down on you, you just have to deal with it and thats your life now
young wolves, much like young dogs, are overwhelmingly goofy and stupid. a teenage wolf will see your very fragile, very human shoulder and go âi can probably step on that with my full weightâ and then he will do it
letting a wolf eat out of your hand is actually not remotely frightening, and youll want to do it all day
I wanna know who did this research.
well, i did!

Japanâs complete lack of understanding of declining birth rates in relation to its work culture reminds me a lot of how America has an assumption that millennials are killing industries when the truth is they are more frugal because of a lack of funds.
Both come from a conservative mindset that neglects the impact that a toxic work culture can have on society.
A 80+ hour work week in order to maintain financial stability isnât exactly a solid ground to date people and eventually build a family from a healthy relationship.
A workforce comprised of 20 somethings that make between 20-40k a year in entry positions isnât a good ground to build a reliable consumer base when a huge chunk of that is going to rent, utilities, car payments, and student loans.
This is a fascinating connection, you should write a paper on this
I am convinced that, in general, people want to have families. Many, if not most, would be happy to raise children. But in order to have children and raise them, especially to do so well, people need happy, stable relationships, financial security and time to devote to - you know - actually raising the child. You need both money and time to do that. If people are not given the time and means to be able to create social connections and strong relationships, to devote to parenthood and family, then they are not going to do it. How can they?
