Loki hesitated, still panting as he watched her carefully. It was true. She’d never hurt him outside of sparring. But the panic filling his body still made him shrink further away from her, fear in the God’s eyes that he couldn’t hide. “W-why should I trust you?”

She offered a hand to him, only a little reluctantly. She could see he was scared, but did not know why. If he wanted, she imagined his magic could outdo her strength, anyway.
