A load of people sort of view Jude as being kind of mean and grumpy a lot of the time and I do agree she doesn't have that natural humour Cardan has and can be overly sarcastic (which I absolutely LOVE about her, she has the best roasts 😭) I feel like these consumptions are wrong.

Jude is actually so nice. She is kind and a nice person especially towards humans because she's mortal herself. There's a bunch of examples of this throughout the series including when she saved Sophie in tcp, chose to help Taryn and her hanging out with the court of shadows when we get to see her friendly side shine through. I feel like we make her "meaner" side a bit too dramatic sometimes as a fandom 😭

I was thinking about Jude and Cardan’s marriage. Cardan came up with this plan bc he wanted his will back, which was perfectly valid and fair, but when you think things through, other than having a brand new wife that he loved a lot, this union didn’t benefit him in anything else. Marriage between them only binds him and she was the daughter of a two time traitor, murderer of an ambassador/prince/his fucking brother and mortal. She wasn’t the best candidate for a queen. He really was willing to give her a fancy title, a crown and all the power she wanted and settle for whatever crumbs of affection she might give him in return.

On the other hand, at that point in their relationship, I think that Jude accepted the marriage proposal bc 1) she secretly loved Cardan and thought that this new station in life and relationship status would make it safe to love him openly and was hopeful that he might love her back 2) she really wanted to be queen and have absolute power 3) she did not want to be so scared anymore. In that order. Jude spent the exile angry and cursing and planning Cardan’s demise but she never took off her wedding ring. Girly was feeling absolutely hurt and heartbroken and betrayed and foolish and I’m pretty damn sure she was suffering a lot more about supposedly being dumped by her new hubby than for being the queen in exile.

Anyways, young love is crazy am I right.

Please, please do not reblog cosplay photos with the intention of roleplaying in the commentary. It is extremely uncomfortable because we are real people and I have put a lot of work and sweat and tears into my costumes and I am not comfortable with my photos being used for that purpose. Listen, I hate call out posts but I know some of y'all had contact with her and I decided I need to share my experience last night.

After telling Fantasyfox101/bookswritedraw/Charrise that spam commenting questions under every one of Holly Black's Instagram posts is bad internet etiquette and annoying to other fans, and that slut shaming characters she doesn't like (Wren) is disgusting, she took it upon herself to send me death threats. So that was really nice.

Not only that, but she also doxxed the Instagram accounts of myself and two other people who called out her behaviour.

This is the lovely message she left us:

So, she's twisting the narrative again, claiming we bullied her. I'm sorry but no. Telling you to chill out is not bullying. Telling you that you need to tone it down is not bullying, it's not rude, and it's not horrible.

You know what counts as bullying? Death threats and doxxing and messaging people privately out of nowhere that you hate them and wish them dead.

This fandom doesn't need such toxicity. We don't want it here.

Take some accountability and better yourself.

(Also, after reporting her and seeing that she deleted all of her accounts, I saw she followed me this morning on another account of hers. What did you hope to accomplish? Anyway, she's blocked now.)

Just posting this here because I'm not gonna stand for it. I hope you'll do some deep, deep soul searching because your behaviour is so off the rails it's not even funny anymore. But, after this, I have no fucks left to give.

Did anyone else notice how in the Prisoner’s Throne Jude and Cardan seemed to be slightly different?

Not in a OOC way, but… more like each other.

Jude is more talkative, and can now hold court better. She’s better at formal dinners and even more sassy than she was, which is so typical of Cardan.

Cardan is more prone to violence.

He couldn’t even lift a sword properly, but now can fight even when injured?

When he thought Wren hurt Jude, he was 100% ready to fight her

I just- they grew as an old married couple.
