Weird Horror/Gore Obsessed Loser

I greatly enjoyed watching Audition. Takashi Miike's Cinematography and audio design is really well done. I've recently purchased the novel, so I'll most likely discuss about that in a reblog once I finish it. What I enjoyed the most was the constant switch halfway through the movie of showing Asami's backstory, then going back to Aoyama's sequences with his deceased wife, to Asami, and in the end where Shigehiko gets revenge on his father by pushing Asami down the stairs, killing her after she decided to torture Aoyama by cutting his foot off, drugging him, and sticking needles in his body where it hurts the most. I'd rate this movie a solid 9/10. I would rate it higher if it wasn't for the murder of Gang, the family's dog, and the part in the sequence where Asami decides to vomit in a dog bowl to feed the supposed man in the burlap sack.
