Much of the world does not know the backstory of this conflict or does not care. My project aims to increase awareness and hopefully through the international community and public pressure, governments will take action to stop this genocide. 

Palestinians suffer terribly just to live a normal life, and now with a child dying every 10 minutes, the "The Forgotten' project aims to remind the world that the Palestinians are humans just like the rest of us with hopes, dreams and families. 

I could not simply sit by and do nothing, so with my camera as a tool I aim to shed light on the often forgotten issue that in so many ways affects us all. 

All participants in the project come from Palestine - Gaza, Palestine - West Bank, or a war or genocidal background. This project will be a published book and exhibitions, hopefully large news outlets and other means.  

I am currently looking for any interested parties, investors and those willing to be involved in the project in anyway.

Shot 2 - ‘Wild Place’

Often we see great images but do not realize the photographers approach on planning the image. Of course some images are taken on the spur of the moment, but I wanted to approach this photography project in an informative way, by simply explaining the thought process behind the image. In a way getting into the 'mind of the photographer'.

Often I shoot with an idea in mind. It could be I want the final shot to be black and white or in colour like these two images. The question is in this case which image its better?

The image was taken on my recent trip to Bhutan. What an amazing place and amazing people. So which image do you like best? Colour or black and white? 

I was told there was nothing to shoot in Brighton, England on a more or less cold day. Well I kind of like this image. It had a classic sense of timelessness and mystery to it. More great fine art travel prints available on www.rossd.photography 

This was a special shot where the forest was pitch black. The old car was left there by hippies in the 70′s. I simply left the camera on a tripod and used the flash off camera (it was in my hand) to light the car. This technique is called ‘painting with light’. 

The first photo I called it “the man behind the tree’. I love the shadow across the face itself. This is a much simpler image than the second pic. However the second image I called it ‘the man about to be bitten by the snake’. I placed the snake behind the leaf on purpose, so it seems the creature is hidden. Although a much busier photo, it tells a great story. What are your comments? Which do you think is better?
